Having to stay up Christmas Eve night

Wait for the kids to fall asleep

Then go out in the freezing cold and drag everything in

And it was always like 20 degrees

And I'd have to make like 6 trips out

And the wife was inside all nice and warm

It was all good though

One year we got my oldest a ball tent

That thing took up the whole living room

It took her about a week to punch a hole in the thing

And about 5 years before we got rid of all those stupid balls

Another year we took the two oldest to Wal Mart in July

This was before the baby was born

Took them through the toy section

Told them this one time, and one time only

Whatever they wanted put it in the buggy

Wife distracted them

 

[MyBloodRunnethOrange]

I took the buggy back and put everything on layaway

And that was Christmas

First year we were together

We lived in a one bedroom apartment

Picked up our Christmas tree at an auction for $2

Had no stand for it

We tied it to the curtain rod in front of the sliding glass door with a piece of yarn

Only Christmas we were away from family
