I traveled to Memphis this weekend to see my parents and attend the game. My parents have been life-long boosters for UM. With that said, my son and I arrived to receive the perfect gift. It was a basket of full of UT goodies but there was one that I will always cherish. This was highly unlike my parents but anything is possible when a grandson is involved.

The most important piece was a book - All Access Football Vault.

This book documents UT Football from 1891 to the hiring of "X". My son (9) was so excited to receive this book and immediately began to read and view all of the items inserted in the book.

So, why I am telling you this? I believe this is the perfect gift for any Vol lover this Christmas or any other time.

Why? I now have the opportunity to teach my son (actually learn together) where we have all come from and what makes this a great place to play football. He now can know firsthand of our traditions and the stories that made those traditions.

I highly suggest this book and sharing it with your child so that he or she may carry on the stories and traditions of the great players/coaches that gave their all for Tennessee!

GBO!

I got the book at a book signing. Got mine signed byTom Mattingly. Cool book

MMMM, got me thinking. It has a cover on it. I may take the book to the OW game and see how many autographs I can get on it instead of the usual football.

I picked this up at Wal Mart yesterday for $15. My son has barely put it down. I am a proud father.:)

I bought it a couple months ago for $40. I love reading General Neyland's old letters to the football players.
