The Paul Bain Thread (merged)

Paul Bain's phone number is irrational. Josh Dobbs is the only person who has survived taking the time to memorize it.

When Paul Bain does push-ups, he actually pushes the world down.

Believe it or not, this is technically true whenever anybody does a pushup. The effect may be negligible, but every action (a man pushing himself away from the Earth) has an equal and opposite reaction (the Earth moving away from the man).

Imagine pushing away from a large boat in perfectly still water. The boat would move (slowly) away from you with the same total force (mass x velocity) that you move away from the boat.

I believe that phenomenon is known as "Bain's second law of pushing stuff"

I heard his teammates are so scared of him, that when they cross him, they change numbers to try and confuse him.

What did this guy do to get the Chuck Norris treatment. I thought this was for the 4 or 5 stars that were blown way up by fans and services and fail miserably to contribute to their rating. I'm thinking he has not seen the field and is a walk on. I don't get it. I'm sure someone will reply and say something they think clever to get their laughs.

Met Rod Wilks over the middle and won.

Actually, he just turned up on the scene with the most awesomely badass headshot of all time and a cool name to go with it, and with Rod Wilks gone the timing was right.

I don't think there's an ounce of disrespect intended in any of the jokes; it's just manufacturing a fun folk hero for silly reasons. If he turns out to light up the field and become a legit playing star he'll be a VN god.

Edit: I don't think the Rod Wilks thing had anything at all to do with on-field performance not meeting expectations. It started simply as a joking reaction to one poster's over-exuberance about him and took on a life of its own just because enough people found it fun and funny to do. It was never about making fun of RW and I sure hope he didn't take it that way; same for PB.

You don't get it? You sir better pray Paul Bain doesn't read this, and may God have mercy on your soul.

You need to watch his highlight tape as well.

All jokes aside ( just for this comment)
Paul Bain is a prospect.
With Tuttle injured, Vickers being an very average DT, Obrein being a senior and dumbass Alexis Johnson getting booted after 2 days on campus. Paul Bain has a shot to play and play A lot!

Bain and McKienzie.... sounds like a law firm.

Johnson hasn't been booted. He still has a chance to be reinstated
