We should be flying around like LSU is on defense. We should be ranked top 5 in the country. We should have Vandy, UK, USC, Missouri, marked as wins every year before it starts. We should never be worse than Clemson.

The difference is shocking isn’t it, after watching that shite show today. Welcome to reality. Depressing.

Kinda sad seeing Ed Oregron coaching the 3rd ranked team in the country and here we are scraping the bottom of the barrel n the SEC.....Damn...Vandy has passed us...Let that sink in for a minute.

Just dumb. The year before he was in secc we are getting what we deserve

That or the fact we had a loaded, no 3 class in the country when he was fired. Or the fact Hamilton wouldn't give money to hire an OC. Idiots like that poster have gotten old

Stupid response... If you have something better than that then bring it. Fulmer did some great things but he left a thin, depleted roster. This didn't start with Dooley or Kiffin. It started when Cut left again and any semblance of discipline went with him.

Kiffin ended up starting 2 undersized walkons and an undersized converted Fr TE on the OL. Their only QB option was Crompton. They had one SEC quality RB. Dan Williams was the only true SEC quality DT on the team.

Fulmer became complacent after the NC and didn't hold his staff or assistants to a high standard. Richt, Meyer, and Saban absolutely abused him both in recruiting and on the field.

I don't hate Fulmer. I'm glad he's AD. But he should have hung his whistle up about 4 years before he was fired.

You are basing these "shoulds" on what?
We're UT. Honestly all the hype of who we should be is based on our love for this program because there has been NOTHING the past decade which can make anyone say we should do anything ...except exactly what we're doing....which is sucking.

The program began to decline no later than 2000. He wasn't getting the best players any more. He was owned by Richt, Meyer, and Saban. He left a thin roster with huge gaps in talent. That's just the facts. I supported him getting a shot to turn it around. He got that shot. In retrospect though, he should have stepped down with grace.

Let's have some fun... List the players that were in that "loaded" class that did great things. Boyd I believe. There was a RB from Manassas VA that played ST's for UCLA. Who you got?

Its an old and tired argument but fools like you keep spouting this nonsense. Fulmer went to 2 sec title games in his last 5yrs. Had the no.3 clas, that was absolutely loaded, when fired. Maybe the AD program should have given him more support. What type of ad gives their hof HC the least amount of money to hire an OC the year after they went to an SEC title game? And that's just one public example of the lack of support he got. I think we can all agree that the 10yrs since the admin has continued to show its lack of support for the program. Yet fulmer was still fielding competitive football teams.

But you're so smart. It was all fulmers fault.
