The OU Frat Case and the Legal Fallout

This incident has riled up WAY more people then when Jesse Jackson was caught on camera calling Obama a n***** and wanting to "cut his balls off"......odd world we live in.

Well I wouldn't have ever been on that bus because I would never join a frat.

I probably would have said nothing being balls deep in my mp3 player and ignoring the morons hooting and hollering.

We see now what Ras thinks about things.

Dude, you seriously need to go smoke some crack or inject some heroin and get normal.

I'm a pretty funny dude, when I want to be.

But did you see what he posted though? PJ, or the powers that be deleted it promptu, but, it was absolutely disgusting.

Just for the record, it wasn't PJ. That poor guy catches way too much flak for stuff he didn't do.

You're a good man, GA. A good man.

You should post more around here.

Although I don't blame you. It will get to anyone sooner or the later.

What if it was just bus you were on and you left the mp3 at home?

When I was in school (and maybe 79), this chant would not have been an issue. First, this kind of crap was more common and still somewhat overlooked. Second, it wouldn't have been on social media because there was no social media.

I can't answer that question any other way. I was'nt raised in the PC generation so l don't know what it's like to have to be PC 24/7.

Sure. Expell everyone who drops the N bomb. That football team might be in some serious trouble.

You're right, ignore the REAL problems for some good old fashioned words hurt.

Yes it has gone full retard. So what gets blacks motivated for change? Voting? Nope. Incarceration rates? Nope. Single motherhood out the whazzo? Nope. Leading the nation in murder? Nope. Out of control AIDS? Nope. Most uneducated? Nope. Poorest? Nope. Someone saying the "n*****"? Awwwwwwwwwwwwww yeah it is ON! Lets devote ALL of our energy and time to getting mad at this white kid who said the N word and, gasp, joked about lynching!!

This is an excellent point IMO

I'm going to ask you again... do you think the university should have just done nothing? They only expelled two of them. Not the whole frat.

Straw man, straw man, straw man.

Is it really asking too much to stay on the subject at hand without stressing how terrible black folks are, as a culture?

Pretty sure most of the butthurt stemming from this incident has been from white people. There are no immediate fixes to the problems you listed. The one from the OU case can be nipped in the bud swiftly, but let's ignore that because black people are terrible.

We all know if no one stepped in and stopped this frat that those kids would be driving all over Oklahoma just a lynching away and screaming racial epitaphs ill the cows came home. Jim Crow would be back and we'd have blacks working the fields again...

Are you that ****ing dense? Really?

The video went viral. People (both white and black since that is clearly how you see things ITT) reacted negatively. It looks bad if the university does nothing. Those douchenuggets did something very stupid. I don't care how wealthy and privileged you are... you still need to pay for your mistakes. He's not going to jail or facing lawsuits. He is simply being expelled from the university he represented in the video. I know this is hard to swallow, but there are standards to abide by.

See..that is what is dumb about this. Is the kid a moron? Oh yeah most definitely. Should the frat get in deep sh!t? Hell yes. Should the nation have a kneejerk reaction to this? Hell no.

Let me ask you this: why, in your opinion, should the frat get in deep ****? If you actually believe that, then how was your post anything more than a grandstand about how ****ty black culture is?

Look at Asians. We nuked them, we put them into internment camps, we worked them to death to build our railroads..yet they thrive? Is it MAYBE because they don't cling to the past and forged ahead?

You went full retard here. What a ****ing left-field comparison that in no way validates anything you said.

Cursing doesn't make his points any less valid. Not all, but many black people continually play the "woe is me" card and deflect all of the blame for their problems on white people.

There IS a reason there are more black people incarcerated than any other race, and it's not because white cops are out to get them. It's because there is a large percentage of the black population who think it's all fun and games to deal/do drugs, steal things, and shoot cops.

Listen to any rap song and it says as much, and those are just the mainstream songs, the mixtape scene is just as bad. And don't give me the "they're just songs" BS, every poor kid in the streets listens to these songs and many use them as motivation to become the baddest gangster they can.

I feel no sympathy for black people in this regard, their problems with the law are their own doing, and blaming white people is just the easiest and apparently best solution in today's liberal America.

Pointing out foul language doesn't validate his points, either.

You can easily flip those races around and it would apply. This forum, as a microcosm, is full of white people who detest black culture. Hell, they blame taxes on them, too.

Large percentage? Did you extract this racewide notion of " fun and games" from the minds of black people? How did you go about it? I'm really curious, since you seem so in tune with an entire culture that isn't your own.

"Mixtape scene."

Clearly, you sir are an expert on hip hop. Why do you keep pretending to know what you're talking about?

This is the most believable thing I read in your post.

I'd break noses and call the amberlamps.

Seriously though I would have said STFU..in my mind. It's a tough call on what I would do in that hypothetical situation. I think they were ignorant morons for singing what they were singing, that isn't even up for debate.

Wtf? Is this the 1980's and everyone is into John Hughes movies?

IF they violated some student conduct rules sure. If they didn't I don't see where OU has a leg to stand on.

Black culture..the US kind..yeah..statistics prove that it's not really good.

I concur albeit protesting at their parents homes is kind of taking it to the dumb extreme.

If the frat had a culture of racism that it embraced then yeah, get that sh!t out of here. Poking fun at race(s) is fun, but sometimes people take it to an extreme. I tend to think when mentioning killing people of a race meets the extreme requirement.

But why do Asians do so well in this country? The most educated, the wealthiest? And we as a country SH!T all over them for about 100 years..

I've yet to see Asians out lamenting their treatment by the railroads or the mining companies in the 1800's, or the internment camps and nukings of the 1940's. Maybe they came to terms with bad sh!t in the past and forged ahead instead of dwelling on the past? <--dwelling on the past is a problem in the USA.

Not an expert on hip hop. But if you don't think there are even worse songs condoning drugs, violence, and killing white people out there than mainstream hip hop, you're out of your mind. Don't be naive.

Yeah I've never understood this. It's an excuse and a bad one at that. They claim no progress has been made, but 6 years ago they celebrated Obama being elected into office. If that isn't change then I truly don't know what the hell is. Revisionist history.

Okay, VH1. I know my hip hop, and I can tell you that there aren't artists who praise killing white people that have a substantial following. You can throw words like underground and mainstream around, but it's further proof that you have no idea what you're talking about. Sure, you'll have crazies, but that's with every genre. Charles Manson made a folk/pop album that reached a small level of success. Doesn't mean folk is the music of mad men.

Again, you resort to name calling saying others know nothing while providing no actual explanation why. You do realize in larger cities that many of the "underground" and "mixtape" artists are more popular than any mainstream guy right? Not surprising coming from you though, judging from your other posts.

You provided zero statistics to back up your claims, so that's on you.

And the notion you just presented is also false. Larger cities, like the musically apt town I inhabit, have a high volume of local artists, and a lot of people who simply aren't into local music/art. It's the smaller cities that will have a hometown hero, but they eventually move on, tour, sign and such.

Im not going out tomorrow to lament my mick ancestors and their tribulations. Never heard my Irish great grandpa say anything negative in his life. Well..he did complain about Grandma a lot..
