The OTHER Man with a "Face for Radio" (besides Hubbs)

I would say Tyler Ivens is the Knoxville sports media guy with THE face for radio. He should be covering the team in South Bend because he looks like Quasimodo in the animated version of Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Wes Rucker, on the other hand, could be a male model. Granted, he’d have to be a furniture model for one of those cuck chairs they have in hotels, but that’s honest work.

Now that I think of it, we have a goofy looking bunch covering sports in this region. Guess they can’t all be Laura Rutledge.

Face for radio? I don’t know if you’ve watched ESPN lately, but any guy on ESPN who didn’t play a NCAA sport has Rucker beat for that title.

Glad he got on somewhere local which was his goal, more time with his family. Good dude.
he seems like a genuinely good person. family man. does he come across as wanting to be the smartest guy in the room? no trick question that was Jimmy Hyams.

I think he is well read, nerdy. His awkwardness and desire to sound smarter than he is is offputting and annoying.

It isnt really necessary in sports writing.

But he is genuine, and good at what he does. Delivering the news.

Best of luck to him, and hope his son is healthy.

Yep no one is perfect. The people casting stones have typically been the type everyone would expect. Is what it is.
