I really think having Coach Wilcox aboard is gonna make us very competitive in this game. I think at the very least this game will be a close loss for us. I know that no one is really giving us a chance in this game or this season. If somehow we win this game it could change the whole complexion of the season.

The stats in last years game for the Oregon offense were a total of 152 total offensive yards, 31 rushing, and 121 passing. I think also the combination of us playing in Neyland will give us a very good chance of pulling this game out. I know Im gonna be there on 9/11/2010 and Im betting we are gonna win it!

Boise St. also had the ball for 42Mins, so we gotta stay on Offense. (something Crompton couldn't do..)

Well, I'm not sold on Oregon's D. And they will have a brand new QB for this game. Unfortunately everyone else comes back for them. But yes, Wilcox has beaten them down the last two seasons at BSU. I think he'll help us out with the newer offenses that we see in college.

The Broncos had no problem marching. Moore hit 14 of 20 throws in the first half and finished 19 of 29. He was also given plenty of time in the pocket behind a young offensive line that for one night answered the biggest question about the Broncos in the offseason.

The other part is the crowd. I realize that Oregon plays in Autzen, but they have never actually faced an environment like that as an opponent-and I don't count the Michigan game a few years ago. None of the stadiums in the Pac 10 approach Neyland, or any other SEC venue. This has a chance to be California all over again-and Wilcox does give us an edge-and we have top level talent. It's all on Simms and the O-line if you ask me. They need to stay on the field and we need Rogers for this game. Get that freak out there and chuck him some bombs. Crazy things happen in college football. Neyland better be rocking.

I actually like our chances in this game, we have a decent shot to pull out the win. Go Vols.

I'll be raising hell for sure bro!! I really think the D will be fine but your right the offense is gonna have to move the ball.

Yeah-Costa knows that offense well, he won't hurt them. If Poole goes nuts we could be in for an upset. And Da'Rick. We need him for this game!

Well, Oregon is aware that Wilcox is at Tennessee now and they have film of that game. I have no doubt they will watch it and not play a rerun of what their offense did (or, didn't do) against him last year.

I expect them to line up and try to run the ball more.

Don't forget the heat and humidity. Those Ducks will be melting by the 4th quarter.

I definitely like our chances and agree that knocking them off could and should change the complexity of the entire season. Huge confidence booster.

I sure hope we win. I'll be bringing a pretty young lady with me to her first ever college football game, so I'm REALLY hoping the crowd is rowdy and wild and we upset the Ducks.

I have a strange good feeling about this game. I think we've been selling our team a little short for this season, and I think this will be the first of many games where our Vols pleasantly surprise us.

For some reason I do as well. There seems to be a lot of positive things on our side for this game. It's at home, we now have Wilcox, people aren't expecting much from us, it's a long trip for Oregon, the heat, etc. Perfect ingredients for an upset if you ask me! :rock:

We will be better than expected this year and will do fine unless injuries start to pile up. If we lose to Oregon, it could come down to newbie mistakes, ie Freshmen and the QB.

Can't wait myself. Four of us will be driving up from panama city beach for the weekend.
On a side note, anyone heard of the NCAA doing a day of heroes for Sept11th. Say the stars
And bars power T shirt on rivals but no mention of the event on the net. Sorry if this has

It is a night game. Granted it is still hot and muggy but it is not as big of a deal as a day game.

I have a good feeling about this game, although I know it will be tough. I think a lot of the intangibles favor us.

I think it might be the most important game of the year. It starts one of the most brutal six game stretches in recent memory, and if we can get some momentum early, it might be a season with some really nice surprises.

C'mon "Football Time in Tennessee!"

can't wait for this game, flying in from Toccoa seeing my man Tauren play and sittin in a suite. folks it just don't get better than that! i predict an upset....UT 24-Ducks 17!
