Yeah, I'm skipping this one and saving my money for Bloodborne and MLB The Show in March. I have a feeling this game has "PS Plus freebie" written all over it.

Which sucks because it had so much potential. I might still enjoy this game but reading the reviews and watching a few of the missions make me skeptical. Def wait for a price drop.

Bloodborne looks sick.

This game is getting pooped on by reviewers. $60 for a 5 hour game, half of which are cutscenes and QTE. When will game developers learn that quick time events suck?

I just beat Demon's Souls last night, and I am pumped about Bloodborne. The Souls series has ruined gaming for me, nothing lives up to them.

Isn't dark souls 2 coming to xbone and ps4? I have never played them but heard great things.

It damn sure is and I'm going to pick it up seeing as how I skipped on it last gen. It looked fantastic even on last gen systems.

As for QTE's, I don't mind them in certain situations. I think they work well during cutscenes because at least it gives you something to do instead of just sitting there watching it play out like a movie. However I dont' like it when developers have an over reliance on them. I think it's lazy programming to be honest.

Awesome. I will pick it up also. Will I be lost since I never played the first?

QTEs don't bother me unless they are everywhere, like you said.

What sucks, it seems there have been so many let down games in the past year. These companies spend more on hyping the game and marketing than they do actually making it (I know they have to for the sales).

Yes, I got the PS4 for Bloodborne only (I hate exclusives, but this series is worth it).

I'll be getting DS2 on my One. I got 1000gs on DS and DS2, so I'm what you might consider obsessed...

It isn't for the faint of heart. If you're used to constant checkpoints, reloading saves, tutorials, hack n' slash God mode action games, and any other sort of hand holding, don't play it. It is a polarizing series, but I've never spoke with anyone who beat it and said, "Meh, it was okay." Only those who gave up say it sucks.

If you have a 360, Dark Souls 1 is $4.99 this week. It is worth $100.

Sorry for hijacking the Order thread, but from what we have gathered, it sucks, right?

It's no wonder the Japanese gamers have shifted over to playing 3DS, Vita, and mobile phone games. Maybe they are the smart ones.

They have very little story, mostly backdrop lore that you're left to discover yourself. There are connections between DS & DS2, but nothing that would take away enjoyment of playing them out of order.

If you get DS or DS2 for 360 or PS3, or DS2 for One and Bloodborne for PS4, add me. I enjoy helping new players experience this series. It really is THAT good.

Well...the Last of Us was pretty awesome, but it was a remake. He's kind of right though. There aren't many exclusives anymore for either system, which is great for the consumer (but terrible for fanboys).

Forbes wrote a good article about it. The best games so far are multiplatform.

I disagree with Forbes with regards to both consoles. The systems are barely a year old and already we've got the following...

Now I realize those games won't appeal to everyone but that is a solid list of exclusives for both consoles, particularly considering how young they both still are. Plus for the remainder of this year you have titles coming like Bloodborne, Until Dawn, Uncharted 4, Dragon Quest Heroes, MLB The Show 2015, No Man's Sky, The Tomorrow Children, Tearaway Unfolded, Alien Nation, etc on PS4 and for X1 you have Halo 5, Quantum Break, Forza 6, Ori and the Blind Forest, Scalebound, Fable Legends, etc.

Exclusive titles are bad for consumers (and publishers sometimes). Unless it is published by Sony or Microsoft, it really shouldn't be exclusive to one system unless you like losing out on sales. But the Order was published by SCEA, so it being exclusive makes sense.

Oh yeah, they definitely both have their share of exclusives, but none of them were just GOTY type material like in the previous generations of consoles, but like you said it is still early! Ori and the Blind Forest (Metroidvanias are my weakness), No Man's Sky, Scalebound, Bloodborne, Halo 5, Dragon Quest Heroes, and Uncharted will hopefully rock the exclusive boat.

Regardless of all of this, Nintendo still probably has the best first party games haha

Aaaaaand I don't care! :) Seriously there's only so many times you can save the princess and I'm tired of it. As a gamer I grew up and Nintendo didn't. I respect Nintendo for sticking to their niche of family friendly entertainment but I am no longer part of their demographic.

Edit: Having said that, I'm actually considering getting a New 3DS system. I really like it and I'm a fan of the Zelda series. Plus the new Monster Hunter game looks awesome.

I hate exclusives because there are people who just can't afford both consoles so they will miss out on some games. I understand why they do it though.

Both consoles have a few good exclusives out now, it will get better.

Also, you guys talked to me into Dark Souls 2. I am pumped about it.
