Hate to break the news, but there's a good chance Hurd will not attend The Opening. He has a minor groin strain, but if he is not 100%, his parents will not let him compete for fear of really hurting himself. Football season is too close to potentially miss games due to an unnessary injury. Will keep y'all posted.

We all did (especially him), but in the grand scheme of things, that star means absolutely nothing compared his health and future. I don't know a lot about groin strains, but I hear they're hard to heal.

yeah, i def dont want him to get hurt again either. groin strains suck and reinjure easily

Agreed. Honestly I lost a lot of respect for rivals for how they've handled this situation anyways. I'm sure it happens all the time on all sites though.
