Firing Currie is the only viable option. I prefer Blackburn replacing him, as he should have hired in the first place, but it’s important that Currie is out. It’s the only chance of turning this coaching search around.

It won't do any good until everyone, other boosters, as well as fans rise up and cut out the cancer of the Haslams. They won't hire Blackburn. They'll just go out and hire another stooge to do their bidding.

If Currie is fired before hiring a replacement, it means the Haslams lost.

Is it true that Currie has a $5M buyout? What motivation does he have to do anything but tank? Do a slightly better than terrible job and get paid $900k to be hated all year in Knoxville, or do a terrible job and get handed $5M to live elsewhere. Tough call.

Trying to land Doeren should be grounds for firing with cause.

The Haslam scum will just force us to keep Hoke as an interim, until they go out and get a replacement stooge for Currie. Then that new stooge will go out and hire us another Botch Jones, Dooley or worse.

UT will NEVER have a good coach until we remove the control of the Haslam cancer.

Agreed, but that probably isn't going to happen. He should have been fired immediately after the Shiano fiasco and wasn't so that pretty much tells me where we are at with this train wreck. Rock bottom and still diggin !

I agree! Let's stop the search. Bring Currie in and fire his ass! Then appoint Fulmer as AD and re set this whole dam search from square one and go get a QUALITY coach! If that means having to nuke the 2017 recruiting class, so be it! It's far more important to get the right coach than it is to salvage one recruiting class.

People it just won't happen as long as the Haslams are in charge. Fixing the problem starts with taking away their control. Nothing will ever get fixed until that happens.

Fire Currie, and keep Hoke and current staff. There's no way the Vols will get anyone more qualified at this point. Everyone in the market will listen and quickly leverage for a better deal somewhere else, or in their current situation.

I think the only viable option at this point is to cancel the 2018 season and spend that entire year finding the right coach since this is obviously going to take some time.

I live in Nashville and I am not a Titan fan. The reason that I am not is because for two decades their coaches and ownership and the GM give fans enough to give them hope. Then rather than go all out they will go cheap or do stupid things to undermine the organization. Why do the fans continue to put themselves thru this soap opera. I refuse to do it so I am A Steelers fan
The AD Boosters and chancellor are now doing the same thing at Tennessee
