The only selection committee joke worse than VOLS 3 seed….

I want every single Big Ten team (and Duke) to flame out early. No way they deserved nine teams in the tourney, and no way ******* Wisconsin deserved to be anywhere near us just for getting a share of the regular season title.

Wisconsin will basically have a Home Crowd

Always going to be this way until they find an alternative org for the NCAA. Corrupt from top to bottom. Too much politics. Analytics are virtually ignored.
PS the real joke of the party and the team that exposes the rampant bias is Duke. Look at their Resume.
Only played 8 Q1s(TN played 18) Lost 3 Q2s and lost 1 Q3.
TN's only losses were Q1s. And Who's the 2 seed.

is big 10 with 9 bids!! Pathetic!!
The selection committee's main focus is to make sure TV ratings are as high as they can possibly be. In their feeble biased mind a final four every year for them would be Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina. So they do everything possible to make sure these teams make it far into the tournament.

Lunardi's nonsense about Tennessee's seeding is throw-up worthy. Tennessee probably should have been considered for a #1 seed. Lunardi wanted to discuss Villanova vs. Tennessee as the Number 2 seed. Why didn't he talk about Kentucky vs. Tennessee, Duke vs Tennessee and even Auburn vs Tennessee.

So just think when they expand the College Football Playoffs to 6 teams, 8 teams, 12 teams; the bias will show it's ugly head again.

The NCAA is just like any company, they want to make their customers happy. It appears to me they're trying to increase the Big10's chances. I don't see any real contenders for F4. The Big10's athletics has slowly been disintegrating when their best football is only OSU. Basketball? I don't keep up with them, is really pedestrian compared to other conferences. School or Conference loyalty will be a thing of the past with NIL. Now we will start complaining about players who are earning $8 million but do not perform. Let's sit back and watch.

On Lunardi, He wants to predict the results, not define them. He is just connected enough to some insiders on the committee to know they were agenda driven and were prepared to impose their will regardless of the merits for their decisions. They are emboldened since they know the networks may question them, but never challenge them in a way that requires the analysis breakdown that leads to their work. If he challenges them personally he loses his connections. It is obvious he was informed we were going to be a three seed regardless of the tournament and all the logic in the world pointing to a higher seed.

My read is that the committee isn't incompetent, they're just ratings savvy--which is what the NCAA and CBS want from them. (Heck, they could have seeded Tennessee so low in order to position them as the designated "cinderella team" that every Madness needs.)

Once you regulate a sport as entertainment, and thus monetize it, logic and economics drives everything toward what we complain about today.

The ultimate destination would be sports as part of the "bread and circus" of successful governance, and the NCAA's role is given over to a federal bureaucracy. Would it really be a tinfoil-hat joke to surmise that a team's composite social credit score could become a factor in their tournament seeding? Part of the function of sports in a culture is to extol certain values...

I’m not by nature a conspiracists. They see Philistines behind every tree. BUT…things in our world now are extremely clear. And it applies to the NCAA. Especially the NCAA! Almost everything is agenda driven…and it doesn’t take a thermonuclear polymath to understand it. Actually these agenda-ist THINK they are justified in their thinking and for you to point out their “superior” maladies is comical and disruptive to THE AGENDA! When you see all of this seedings mess etc through this clear lens …all the injustices/false narratives become crystal clear.

The only Big Ten team on the fence was Rutgers. Their AD scheduled a weak early schedule, and they had some losses in November that killed their net. That said, they’ve beaten the top teams in their league and are playing very well. Rutgers is probably deserving. A&M was also deserving, maybe more so. Eight Big Ten Teams were top 40 NET. They are solid choices. Rutgers makes a strong case too. They should probably be in, but so should A&M. It’s a bad year for the committee. Duke got seeded high. So did KY. All that considered, it’s time to take off your Conspiracyville diapers and get focused on our team playing these so-called “basketball games”. They fought hard, got better, won the conference tournament for the first time in four decades etc. They’ve got a shot at going a long way. Let’s all buck up, and focus on that. We can talk about how global cooling is effecting your rheumatism in a month.
