You make no sense. I don't believe you're being honest like you said you would be. You entered this thread judging others for slinging mud by slinging mud.
You're like so many others, like BigO. I find you exhausting.Doesn’t that analogy play both ways?
We all have our own trees that we all need help with.
Maybe you can help me with mine and I could help someone with their’s.
You're like so many others, like BigO. I find you exhausting.
Maybe you both should stop looking for man to help you and ask God to help you.
So did you respond to this thread in hopes of receiving spiritual insight?I’ve gotten a lot of solid spiritual insight from other people over the years that I’ve been able to use with somethings I’ve gone through.
So often it’s not where we want to be that’s so difficult to figure out, but how to get there.
This is the only way it will work. The hypocrisy is overwhelming. They come in here judging everyone and acting superior and all knowing thinking they're doing God's work on the internet leading others to Him. Until they get called out on it then it's "I'm talking about me too, Im here to help and get help, but to fix me I need to fix you first".
Lying hypocrites.
Pro tip number 1. Be honest. With yourself first.
No.So did you respond to this thread in hopes of receiving spiritual insight?
If you wanted insight into why this thread has had the responses that perplexed you. Follow the path of the thread author and then let this thread be the cherry on top of this nonsense.No.
I responded in hopes of getting feedback from followers on why they seem so against a devotional thread in the zone.
I did open the thread to see what insight I might gain from what was posted.
The more I read the thread the more I was confused by what was being posted.
I understand some differences in core beliefs that might create heated discussions, but there were some comments that seem completely against any intended purpose of the little I’ve read in the Bible.
I didn’t realize there was such controversy over which Bible to read.
He posted a lot of stuff on other threads that I found surprising (and often pretty disgusting) for someone who professes to be such a fervent Christian, and especially one who proclaims to be of the strait and narrow category. When challenged by many on this, he first tried the “I was just funnin’” bit, and then switched to “Ok, maybe I shouldn’t have, but everyone else does, and why are you holding a preacher to a higher standard.” (Obviously this is paraphrased.) All the while posting his repent, repent, hellfire and damnation stuff on his Sunday School thread, which I think finally vanished? Or got moved or something. And then of course on this one. He never backs down, never shows any signs of self-examination.No.

(Maya Angelou)When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.

He seems (to me) to have completely missed what Micah 6:8 teaches, not to mention the Beatitudes or 1 Cor 13. “Pompous hypocrite” is the phrase that generally comes to many of our minds after a while. Mine, anyway. Maybe strutting and thundering is what some people want in a spiritual leader, but not me. Not a fan of his endless “look at MEEEEEE” stuff.

joevol33 has more Christian love and behavior in one of his toenail trimmings than in all of BigO. (Sorry, Joe.)
