From my experience watching weather girls

If I were to guess, areas along and near a line from Bolivar, TN to about Cookeville will outperform the current forecast

In the Memphis area, I think the NWS is underputting In the Shelby/Fayette County area after the miss they had last week (Currently they are saying 50% chance of 1 inch)

Ah, The Piedmont south and east of the Appalachian mountains… We will be hit with freezing rain overnight, wintry mix tomorrow morning, and snow throughout daylight hours.

Just got back from a run to Kroger. Already a mad house at 6:30 in the morning. Whole families still in their pajamas having nervous breakdowns in the cereal aisle because there's nothing but empty space where the kids' favorites should be. Thought I was gonna see a knife fight over the last bag of Fritos. No checkout lanes open and people with multiple shopping carts full of stuff clogging up the self checkout. The one poor dude who was working the entire front of the store by himself couldn't deal and took a powder. Chaos.

So you went to Walmart?

Local Ingles had plenty of milk (and beer!) and some bread, but the chips aisle was decimated. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? I guess this is why the South is the stroke belt.

Like you saw, cereal was hit hard too

Chip aisle, fresh meat, frozen breakfast foods and carrots is where I saw big holes. I actually stopped in there on my way home from work yesterday and it was much worse. An employee told me to come back early this morning and they would have a lot of stuff restocked, which was true. The only thing I was really after today was celery and Fritos. I managed to get some of the Kroger corn chip Frito clones and the celery, so...mission accomplished. Also, wound up with a bag of Reece's valentine candy, box of Christie's chocolate chip cookies, and a huge box of individually wrapped rice Krispy treat snacks that must've fallen into my cart while I wasn't paying attention. Only instruction I was given was 'don't buy anything frozen because there's no room', which I obeyed.

Ha, I had forgotten the Carrot Situation! I bought a 5 lb bag, because that’s all they had. Five pound bag of carrots is pretty dang big, as in it doesn’t fit in the veg drawer.

Meanwhile, I’m at my local tiny dorky Ingles, and they have EVERYTHING. Lines are 3 shoppers long. You wouldn’t know that anything was happening.
In fairness, we have a lot of recent transplants here many of whom are from places where they don't deal with snow and our local news stations are whipping everyone into a frenzy as if it's gonna be a month-long blizzard. The people who founded Nashville/Fort Nashboro arrived at the East Bank by land and walked across a frozen solid Cumberland River. I wonder what they'd think of us now.

My wife is with me, or I wouldn't do it. Always been my rule having daughters, under no circumstances will I be alone with another girl at our house without Tiffany being there, even though my kids may be. Probably over reaction, but I've seen too many stories of people getting wrongly accused, and not going to put myself in a situation that I can be!

Everyone knows that unless they are a cousin they are safe
