The official zone intruder post thread.

They are the ones who turn their heads away when you see them in the liquor store unlike the Presbyterians who say hi and the Methodists who have already opened the bottle in line at the liquor store...
Ha, I had heard the Baptist and Presbyterian part, but not the Methodist.

When my mother-in-law was at the Methodist assisted living, they had happy hour every afternoon with a two-drink limit. I was pretty surprised, as the Methodists used to be fierce temperance folks. That AL had great resident satisfaction scores. :p

--now that I think of it, the fancy-schmancy Episcopal continuing care community has a bar/pub... Their wait list is years long!

Some Baptist may do all that stuff but it's not because I don't preach against it. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make the stubborn thing drink..😁

LOL at the happy hour limit. If either one lets the residents roll smoke, post the names. Friend wants to know

I love them because their Sunday services go on way past noon, allowing the rest of us to get out at a civilized 11:55 and grab the tables at restaurants.

Coolest thing about attending a Baptist church is cracking open a beer in the parking lot with preacher guy after the sermon.

For a time, my mother did dwell at a Methodist assisted living residence. They welcomed her warmly when they had empty apartments. They asked her to leave via letter to me with backdated 30 day notice.

She’s in a non-denominational place, now. Memory care wing. They’re happy with her, giving her a discounted rate for being a former teacher. We’re happy with them. Mother’s happy, bottom line.
