Yeah, some ALFs keep them once they need memory care, and some don’t. I’m glad you’ve found a good one - it can be nearly impossible.For a time, my mother did dwell at a Methodist assisted living residence. They welcomed her warmly when they had empty apartments. They asked her to leave via letter to me with backdated 30 day notice.
She’s in a non-denominational place, now. Memory care wing. They’re happy with her, giving her a discounted rate for being a former teacher. We’re happy with them. Mother’s happy, bottom line.
