The official TN vs LSU BBall game thread

I don't think I would look past the Arkansas game in retrospective of having to play Memphis and Vandy on the road. LSU almost been Tennessee today, and Kentucky beat them a couple of weeks ago, Florida played them tough for about 30 minutes of the game. I would not look past Arkansas.

Hey XtennesseeX would Buzz have made that substitution to put it J. Smith?
Your the man Brucey

The comment I made was before the substitution took place. I wasn't questioning Bruce Pearl's coaching ability. Just saying it looked at times like Buzz gave this team the pregame speech.

I'll take a win any day though.

Chism 0-4
Ramar 1-2
Duke 2-4
Prince 1-5

Yeah that's horrible free throw shooting.

No, it's EMBARRASSING free throw shooting and championship teams don't do that.

Why we can't shoot free throws since Pearl arrived is beyond me.....is it not being emphasized enough?

We've shot well in a few games, we're just really really inconsistent. Especially Ramar, Chism and Prince. JuJuan, T Smith and Lofton are our only consistently good FT shooters. Even Howell has his struggles.

This ugly game is being replayed on CSS right now. It is 37-25 with 15:28 left in the game. That means we only score 10 points in the last 15:28.

Not to make excuses (okay, that's exactly what I'm about to do)...

LSU had nothing to lose, plus they had that 'let's rally around the intern and get him a good start' attitude.

Tennessee had every reason to be overconfident. They seemed lackadaisical and lazy on offense.

Yet somehow it's still a win. Count your blessings and move on.

It's like the USC/Stanford game in football. If USC just hangs on and wins that game, no matter how ugly and inexcusable for it to even be close, they're playing for a national title.

I was working late last night and when I saw the score on ESPN, I was wow that was close, and so few points scored. What happened?
