Hey Jenny, if you see these posts, and you want to talk IRL, post here and I'll put up my phone number and then take it back down. (Yeah guys, I know; noodz sent)
Veterans triage line: 1-888-598-7793
Crisis/suicidal thoughts: Suicide Prevention - Mental Health Call the Veterans Crisis Line at 1-800-273-8255 and Press 1, send a text message to 838255, or chat online.
Glad to hear you're good. I know what it's like to not be able to do the things I used to do...I appreciate that and hear the hotline number everytime I call the Veterans. I was struggling, not because of self doubt or depression, no one really knows me on here, but I like to think I’m pretty strong mentally, it’s carried me through a cancer scare, a children’s home, raising my brothers and sisters (three of which are no longer here), being kidnapped, in military and so on. I always tell my son, I’ll write a book one day, but don’t think anyone would believe me. My struggle was and is, that I can’t do the things I use to do physically. Hard for someone like me. Sorry if I made anyone think otherwise.

I was worried that I was maybe over-reacting and maybe offending you, but you know the drill: when I was still a VA employee, I knew never to tiptoe away from statements that might have indicated serious depression or even suicidality. If I had done so, I would probably have been suspended without pay, if not fired outright, and rightfully so.
Anyway, here's hopes that the surgeons will be able to fix you up enough to where you can get back to living your life as you'd like to!
