@VolNExile , is the kitchen finished?
Nope. nope nope nope

But at least, the demo is done with the last of the termite-y boards gone, new electric service, plumbing is roughed in, most of the wiring is in (finishing Monday), Joe the Floor Guy has somehow stripped off all the tile cement to expose the original red oak, doing a few patches today and first coat of poly on Friday, new wood windows are in (sure will be nice when the new door comes in), Taylor the Cabinet Guy today or tomorrow we hope for final measurements.

After the last wiring goes in Monday, there's inspection for the framing and rough-ins, and then Larry the Drywall Guy (all of 5'6" and possibly 120 lbs, including his long white ponytail and pack of cigs) comes in, and that's when things start really moving forward. Especially, please God, the downstairs bathroom, although I do seem to have lost some weight schlepping up and down stairs all the time to the remaining bathroom.

I really like this for use of the word “schlepping”, I use it all the time.

I can't wait till we get pictures!

Glad y'all like it. If you want to see schlepping in action, you should see DH carrying dishes up and down the stairs to wash in the eensy upstairs bathroom sink, or in the upstairs bathtub when necessary. And there is usually a cat weaving between his feet (both going up and down) to amp up the excitement.

hahahahahahahahaha

the third one is awesome - is that Jon Snow riding a dragon?? Poor Rocky's head just blurred from embarrassment

It was a caveman on a dinosaur. It was too small for him, but we had to try it on (or well Kevin hold it on him), to get the picture. Of course Rocky wanted nothing to do with it, he never does with the costumes. haha.

Got a low tire on my little older truck I need to fix, but don't wanna get in the middle of it and it start raining
