Speaking of pictures, came across this on Facebook the other day. Little bit fished all evening.

My grandmas house. Porch used to be screened in with a door. The siding wasn't there then either.

Rocky in the guest house with us..he was so tired from the days hiking!

So Crossville is know for homestead houses, my grandparents is one of them

At any rate they have a homestead tower museum, gives you history about the area

I went in looking for an ornament, and I overheard the worker mention an original homesteader was there

I mentioned to the worker that was pretty neat. She said it didn't happen often, and they were going through pictures/yearbooks

I mentioned my grandparents had one and my dad grew up in it, went to the schools that were right behind the tower

She asked what year he graduated, I didn't know, but I had an idea of the 60s

So she pulled a couple of the yearbooks from there, all grades were at the same school and in the same yearbook

They have some yearbooks not all, as they are donations from people who had them

But sure enough found my dads school photos from 8th and 9th grades!

They could have had more, but Rocky and Kevin were waiting outside

I love it! Whole lot better than cookie cutter houses. I could see myself there.

It was so relaxing. It was fun to storm watch. Made me miss my country summers!
