Doubleheader Saturday?

Early weather check, as of Wednesday 3pm...

View attachment 732543If two games get played Saturday, expect mostly small ball, with 9-14mph winds blowing into the batter's face out of right-center field all day.
Personally, I don’t trust a weather forecast until about 12 hours prior. Even then it’s hit or miss.

I decided to post this one as a courtesy heads-up for those planning to travel to the game or bring guests, to continue monitoring the situation.

FWIW: Sunday's game is tucked between about 27 hours of continuous rain, so that would require quite a shift in the forecast.
But for sure, weather forecasters know they can get more hits and eyeballs by presenting a dubious weekend.

This means nothing to me without the stadium wind graphic.

I appreciate you providing the info. I really like the wind updates on the day of games superimposed in LNS.
Generally, I just think folks put too much stock in long range forecasts and end up canceling their plans when the weather often turns out to be fine. When NWS Morristown updates their forecast around 3pm on Sat, I will be reasonably confident on their Sunday forecast.

Yeah, I wait to do the DongCast graphic 'til morning of, and check the trends leading up to it. I think over 48 hours, the "trend" of those hourly forecasts is more useful than the actual chart. It either comin' sooner, or later.

All I know for sure is, every weather map of the southeast, online or on TV, paints middle Tennessee in Immanent Conflagration Red when they know my elderly mother is watching.

I think they're even posting my phone number for her.
