DongCast (FWIW) for Sunday evening at LNS in the Knoxville Regional:

Light winds rotating around the compass, but not much of a velocity factor. Storms today are just pop-ups with no movement, so if weather's a factor, it'll all take place on live radar. Any storms will be hit or miss, but the most favorable conditions are around 6pm local time.

3pm EDT UPDATE: Storms are now showing Southeasterly movement, as one popped up over Clinton and is now large over Knoxville.

How did LNS sound/appear on TV? It seemed like a hornet‘s nest in person.

It’s funny, but LNS was buzzing 15 minutes before first pitch. Then the lady who sang the national anthem did her thing and the volume and pitch went way down to almost funeral level. Of course, when Gavin got that base hit in the 1st it escalated.

I was at Indy for the Vols Sweet 16/Elite Eight run and they had the most incredibly uptempo, upbeat national anthem I’ve ever witnessed. It absolutely worked the whole crowd into a frenzy. I would love for the university to do some variations from time-to-time to the anthem. Talking about pumping up a crowd…..it would. I would love to see the crowd so into at the start that you can’t hear yourself think.

Just an idea..... Maybe move the timing of the anthem up a bit. Then invite the cheerleaders to games and have them get the crowd going? Idk just a thought

Yeah cheerleaders at baseball is a no go, they just need to bring back the if the seat isn’t filled by the 3rd then SRO can take it
