The Official Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt Game Thread, 7:00pm ET, SEC Network

I'm a huge Josh Richardson fan and don't anything away from what he did last night or what's he's done for his career....he's been remarkable. Just adding some historical context to the discussion.

And from what I can tell, there's a lot of talk about Josh getting a shot at playing in the league. Who knows? He's certainly a hard worker but he's also very athletically gifted. I'm certain the other guys I mentioned worked their tails off too.

I think 66's point is, those other guys came in, and everyone knew they were going to be studs. In Josh's case, we had a lot of people that didn't think he could play here initially, and he had to work harder to get where he is. The other guys were studs, but there was a little more God-given talent to start with.

This morning, I read through all the posts on this thread and I am totally embarrassed by the negative attitude of most of the posters who claim to be Tennessee fans. I have not read so much crap since I read some of the stuff posted on the Vandy board by Vandy fans. Surely, our fans can show more compassion for Tennessee than Vandy fans show for their miserable athletic teams, excluding baseball.

Vandy's basketball hamster talent than we do. They have a coach who has been there for a long time and has time to put together a lot of talent. However, their talent has been poorly coaches for years. On the other hand, CDT had to recruit and sign 8, that is Eight, players in less than a month to field a team this year. In addition, he is hampered by the NCAA investigation at USM. He is playing with players who either not recruited by other schools or not worked out for other schools. CDT has winning records at his previous stops and he will win at Tennessee when the NCAA makes their decision and he has an opportunity to recruit without restrictions.

I hope posters on this board have a little bit more maturity and stop these immature postings. I get as frustrated as other posters, but trashing our team and coach indicated that we, as Tennessee fans, have lowered ourselves to the level of Vanderbilt fans. We need to accept the fact that our basketball team has far exceeded what any basketball could expect under the circumstances which this team has played this year and will likely be playing under next year. The team needs your/my support. Lets give that support.

I read through last night too. Thought I had wandered onto a Vandy board with all the crap being spewed . It really is an embarrassment

Yes and that Josh, at least this year, has not only played out of his position, but learned a brand new position. Those other guys had more talent/experience around them as well imo.

Obviously, King, Houston and the others mentioned are all fantastic players, legends even.
