Supposedly everyone knows what is being questioned and has it narrowed down to a singular amateurism issue, Tennessee knowing what it is they feel good about getting it cleared up. They're working to provide the NCAA with the proper documentation needed, they feel like once that's done it'll be pretty easy, we'll see.

Gotta believe Barnes and staff did the proper vetting. Surely if they thought he wouldn't be eligible, this year, they wouldn't have even brought him in. Unless they just thought the eventual reward outweighed the initial risk.

We missed one and got one last yr., hopefully that happens this yr too.

Edit: although I'm not so sure McKnight was that much of a miss.

Has there been any recent hint that this "proper documentation" might have something to do with paying back an extra benefit?

Sounds like something similar to that to me.

Tennessee has lost its last two season-openers, falling at Xavier in 2013 before coming up short in a neutral-site clash vs. VCU last season.

Rick Barnes has led his teams to 13 consecutive wins in season-openers/home-openers.

UT's average attendance in home-openers at TBA is 17,010. Attendance for last year's home-opener vs. Texas Southern was 13,236 (Nov. 20, 2014).

It is homecoming however there is a good bit of competition for fans in East Tennessee because of high school football playoffs, taking into consideration players, families of players, bands, staffs etc. Still hoping for a big first game crowd for the Barnes Era.

Would be cool to get a score prediction thread going for games this yr. We wouldn't have to do gift card like the ff does. Just bragging rights, or whoever has the most wins gets something at the end of the season. just a thought

88-66 vols win. And if we're doing like the ff, who will have the most rebounds? I'm going with Alexander, with 8.

No it won't be on the ALT. SEC+ is like ESPN3. It's the alt will probably be covering women's rowing or field hockey or something random like that.
