Much truth in this post. Scott Drew had only one year as a HC when we hired him. He's taken an average team to the Elite Eight , 7 pts short of the Final Four,and a great team to the NIT and another great team that stayed home. He's still learning on the job, frustrating indeed.

UT fans = hilarious / sad / strange / conflicted
We win four on a row and have turned a corner
We lose one and are back to sucking.
If non-UT fans read this board they will be seriously confused as to where we stand, h3ll I am confused.
In one corner we have the Martin defenders and in the other corner we have the Martin haters.
All I can say is WOW!!!!

The Vols crashed and burned in the second half tonight. Stokes was lost for most of the game and they seemed to give up on the inside game other than Maymon. This game was a pain to watch. I know some tick-tack fouls bothered our best players but they really never got into their game tonight. Seems coach could have made some adjustments at half to help on some of this. Being ahead at half doesn't always mean you are playing a good game and just guess the other team will be as bad in the 2nd half as they were in the 1st half. JMO but if we can't win with this talent it will be bad when they are gone.

Yeah maymon missed his free throws but counzo should've called a timeout knowing they were gonna foul and put our best free throw shooters in there. In hindsight it was counzo's fault more than maymons cause maymon shouldn't have even been out there in the first place.

I think if Bruce wants this team back, he should get them. I've backed Coach CM from day 1 but if he can't win with this talent he will really tank when these guys go. Maybe let Martin recruit and BP coach since recruiting was the dagger that got BP in a round a bout way.

Seriously? I'm not defending Cuonzo by any stretch, however, a 5th year senior that is supposed to be the team leader has to step up and make at least 1 of his 2 FT's. Also, Maymon was fouled on a rebound so CCM could not have called time out to get him out of the game until after he had been fouled. Just hit the stinking FT's and everyone sleeps much better tonight.

Yes it is on counzo he should've called timeout after Barton was fouled and it was obvious what they were gonna do and took maymon out and put his shooters in.

yeah its not like you need anyone to play defense or rebound when the other team has the ball down two and is on offense or shooting free throws.

(For some of the "causal fans" here: this is sarcasm)

With that little bit of time all u need is someone to knock down free throws especially when it's a given that they are fouling left and right trying to make us make free throws and give them a chance to get back in it. And another thing how many times have we seen someone this year shoot right over maymon with no concern at all cause since his injury he has no vertical at all??? He played really good defense after he bricked those free throws and the worst shooter on a&m team buried a deep 3 right in his face!

It's not what they did it's how they did it. IMHO there is no excuse. We are better than that.
