Williams was outstanding tonight and I too was sick of them saying he "came out of nowhere"....but you're wrong about him doing this since last year...he had more TFLs tonight than he had in the previous 8 games this year.

Also, how could he have done anything for Tennessee last year? He's just a freshman, right?

Hilarious the folks that think this is acceptable and calling out so-called "nega-vols" for being upset with the garbage we just watched. I am not sure what game you are watching, but I saw a team that basically had zero fire or pep in it for three quarters, a staff who reverted back to calling safe, run up the middle, hope we can hold the lead and run out the clock plays, a staff who made zero adjustments at half and ran directly up the middle or sideways, and a QB who fumbled the ball at least 2 times, had no sense of urgency and a team of players who mostly dropped key passes and couldn't cover my 87yr old grandmother.... SC deserved this win and we didn't. Plain and simple. They wanted it and our players and staff acted and played like they didn't. Unless something changes and we play and coach like this the remainder of the season, we will lose at least 1-2 more games. If this type of play and coaching at home is OK, just as long as we can punch the ball out on the last play and win that way, then call me a Nega-vol all day. This team is way better than this and its just sad.

It's like these mega VOLS have a say in the coaching firing and hiring. Most probably don't donate to the University. Pathetic! You figure 1 % of the fans won't Coach Jones fired. It's not going to happen so they should enjoy the win and STFU losers.

I'm just amazed at the difference in play calling when we're ahead vs when we're down. Also the lack of adjustments baffles me. An interim coach took Jancek behind the shed in the second half.

Well we're not a top team. We are supposed to be fighting our way back. There is no excuse for being completely out coached and out played. The fast start and sudden lack of focus and intensity is a trend not a one game thing. Butch Jones and DeBord puckering up in the 4th quarter is really getting old. Great coaches don't coach not to lose. If we could have ran the clock down to 20 seconds by not even trying to get a first down then fine but we did exactly what USC's high school thought we would do and we left them 1:15 seconds to score.

Reading the last few pages of this thread, it's clear that some posters would prefer to see Tennessee lose. Whether because you hate Butch Jones, or don't like the style of play, or whatever. At the end of the day, if you are indeed a Tennessee fan, your team won! If you can't find any joy in that whatsoever, then take a look at yourself and question why you are here at all. I don't pump sunshine, but I damn sure will enjoy an SEC win every time we get one.
