Some really bad calls by the refs, no doubt. However, some bad play calling by coaches and bad game management by Hooker. Sad!

Dont be stupid, nobody is calling for JH to be fired. Doesnt mean we didnt see some bad play calling and bad execution tonight. Granted, the reason we have come to expect better is because JH and this scrappy team have given us hope - and yes, the refs were utterly corrupt and stole the game - but tonight, JH, HH and the rest of the team did not give us their best the whole game.

I am still proud of what they did this year.

Apparently, the side judge ruled it stopped forward progress. That’s by rule the determinant. The whistle follows after his signal of the play being ruled dead due to forward progress. It’s one of those “rule exactly how it’s written” type of things.

It’s still unfortunate and sucks, don’t get me wrong.

I get what you’re saying and this argument, but at the same time - to be fair - there’s a lot of times where bunched up plays where it looks like multiple defenders are trying to strip the defender get allowed to go on in case the defense successfully rips it away and gets the turnover.

I honestly wouldn’t have cared if Purdue beat us straight up, but to get hosed like that…geez
