The Official Tennessee vs. Purdue Music City Bowl Game Thread, 3:00 PM ET, ESPN

This whole second half has been a joke. We get called for what 5 or 6 pi they get none? And the TD they didnt call in OT.....GRRR. That being said we should kicked the field goal on the second 4th down.
The way our defense was playing, going for it on 4th down was the correct move. That gave us the best chance to win.

def played terrible but the refs screwed us bad and why didnt we change cleates at half feild was terrible took our speed and cutting abilty out of it

How does Heupel not know that Purdue will kick the f###g field goal to win it. I get the play to win mind set, but this was just malpractice. We were tied despite the horrid officiating and he gives the game away.
Take the FG...that at least forces them to score...if they get a TD then so be it...our D should've been rest enough for one last push...we had the ball at the end of regulation and started in OT....

That is bs because players are told to play until whistle. You can’t have it both ways.

If a side ref signals it dead, though, by rule it’s dead.

In an odd way, it’s sort of like a Cleveland Browns-Jacksonville Jaguars equivalent. Like if the replay booth calls in a replay, but the ball’s snapped before the referee runs onto the field, it still ends up getting treated as the replay booth challenging and stopping the play by letter of the rule.

It’s unfortunate, and I agree that it sucks, but it’s what happened per the rules.

You’re right but it’s all fine. Season was d#cent considering. Our coach didn’t make grata calls in the end but this game was gravy
