I'll take a win under any circumstances, but this was really a poor performance. North Texas is NOT a good team, and yet we made them look respectable. I am hopeful that this was just a letdown against inferior competition.

Unfortunately, we continue our pattern: if a struggling team wants to get back on track, they just need to play us. North Texas didn't have the guns to beat us, even when we're as flat as today -- had that been a decent team, we would have been lucky to survive.

Our Vols still have not learned how to put things away decisively.

Also love how when we played Bama and almost beat them and our d stepped up, Bama was tired and didn't play well. North Texas holds us to 24 and their last ranked d in fbs really stepped up and shut down the powerful Tennessee offense . Lol

I am not a fan of this style of offense either, I wish we would go back to a pro style offense. Unfortunately as long as this coach is here we are stuck with this offense.

I may be wrong but you might get your wish in a cpl years. Depends on the QB Butch goes with. Debord knows pro style and Dormady fits that better. Honestly doesn't change much. TN runs powers, counters, traps, buck sweeps already. Only change would be under center and maybe adding a FB.
