That play didn’t appear to allow for a long enough route before the WR cut on the slant BUT @ least it appears we have a QB who can hit a slant , even it’s a for a nominal gain

We always use it when the defense is crowding the line, instead of when they are double-covering receivers in the flat. It makes no sense to use then.
