The Official Tennessee vs. Florida Game Thread, 12:00pm ET, SEC Network

Are people on here mad that we lost a heartbreaking game in such a horrid fashion??

Had the game been 27-28 and UT been down by 28-7 in the third quarter and came back and we lost on a INT and Worley had thrown for 2 TD and the one INT would people (including me) be this IRRATE????

Blaming the coaches shows a lack of intelligence btw.... They don't play. And they didn't throw the pick in the end zone.

Worley has been a surprise but we aren't going to beat anyone good with starting two true freshmen on the line. It just doesn't happen in the SEC. Period.

They just set the players up for failure.

Uhmmm.. I get irony... The point was that you agree with blaming the HC but used your anger against posters.... so....maybe you should note the use of the word???

Maybe there's an English major lurking about that can explain irony to you, as it's obviously gone over your head, so...uhmmm... you really don't get irony.

But THEY DID CALL THE PLAY...and they did call the plays at OK with 3rd and 2 from the 4 yd line that didn't provide Worley with the best opportunity to succeed....and the same thing happened today....We have a 6'5" 240lb receiver in Croom....Where were the fades or timing patterns to allow him to just flat out outleap his defender?

No reverses all day.....no shuttle passes....no screens to slow down the rush.....almost no vertical passing in which Fla was vulnerable....showed it on film against Bama and KY.....

face it.....it was a PATHETIC plan of attack--if there was even a developed plan of attack...

Simply put--THIS OFFENSE SUCKS for the SEC.....No attempt at misdirection, no bootlegs to get our QB out with run--pass option....No lead blocker to help out with running game...

FACE IT--This offensive system is as bad as Gerry Faust was at ND.....Faust got some great talent to come to ND, but he was coaching at the MAC level or worse.

Ditto today for UT....

WAKE UP!

:salute:

Irony-The use of words to convey the opposite of their literal meaning. Example - Suggesting anger should be directed at HC, while directing anger at posters instead.
Thanks for playing and have a nice day:hi:

Let's see, coaches call the plays, they decide who plays, they teach the players the techniques of their positions..... so yeah, completely unreasonable to think coaches have a say in the outcome of a game.

As to your second paragraph, we were favored to win. Even knowing we were starting two true freshmen on the OL, we were favored to win.

Freshmen can win games too. Just ask Florida's freshman qb.

Well, I got you to look up the definition, but I can't make you understand the concept. Maybe some day that little light bulb will turn itself on.

Man, we are both pissed after a loss that should not have happened. I have no interest in any of this. You know we both get the concept and we both know you lashed out at those that did not deserve the treatment. Just direct your anger justly and not randomly.

A large part of my disappointment is that the team squandered a very good opportunity for a win, as they did last year against Florida and last week against Georgia. The are close, but have not figured out how to do that bit of extra stuff to win close games. Of course the team is much more frustrated than I am so I guess nothing to do but take Butch's advice and 'snap and clear'. Still lots of football left and time for these young ones to grow this season.

Add to that coaching isn't helping & it's actually ruining any chance of if winning big games.

Oh, and the gift that keeps on giving is probably how many of our top ranked recruits we had for the game this weekend walking across the field to go celebrate with the Gators... Don't kid yourselves, we lost some today......

injury report Monday should look like a laundry list the way our kids were dropping like flies every other play... WTF?!

Youth & inexperience really showed today. That, and too much poor execution and too much drive killing penalties we just could not overcome. I will say even my wife was questioning some of the play calling. However, if execution had worked, ... who knows.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but the recruiting class where Dooley didn't land a single offensive lineman has come back to bite us in the ass.

that is a BS excuse. The OC and this pathetic OL along with the OLC has bit the whole football team in the azz.
