The Official Tennessee vs. Florida Game Thread, 12:00pm ET, SEC Network

Jake is somewhat restricted because our offensive line can't block. So, you can't run a drop back pass. It has to either be a rollout or a quick slant, screen or out. Highly limits your offense.

Yep. Oline play is awful. Too many penalties.

this first half is a WIN for the Gators.....I know that our field position hampered us...but we shot ourselves in the foot TWICE with mistakes....

No passes to TEs in the seam...no counter gap running plays by us in first half.......

If I'm a Gator....I'm pretty confident about this game....

And since I'm a VOL--I'm completely and utterly DISAPPOINTED and SHOCKED at our pathetic playcalling on offense....

IF we allow a TD by the Gators to start the 2nd half--It doesn't look good for the VOLS!

Gator is not a good insult. It's offensive and immature.

? We've been bringing in extra blockers on several plays. Wth do you think they're for?

Neyland, get back in your seat quickly and keep that noise level to MAXIMUM decibels. Help these guys get this W.

Was that the worst half all year? Probably. If you blindly Hurd in advance we would play the worst half all year against Florida to start the game you would assume we would be losing. This team has more heart than we have sen since Fulmer days. We are beating Florida after a bad half. When was the last time that happened? Be excited for the day and the future.

We didn't play well in this first half. Too many penilties puting us in hard situations and bad field position. In other news the stadium looks amazing.

No, what's highly limited is Bajakian's playcalling ability. There have been times there was time to throw down the field and use the advantage of the receivers and it goes for a 2 yard screen instead.

I dont understand how we can almost beat GA on the road and we are playing this horrible at home against a unranked FL team...

Horrible?!?!?!
I don't know where you've been the last few years, but this defense we have been playing makes me tear up!

D is playing great! I'd like to see us start throwing the ball downfield more when we come out of halftime. We've definitely got the advantage there.

Did Bajakian even watch the &^$&^% game film of the alabama and KY games?????

They took advantage by throwing the ball down the freaking field with 4 or 5 wides.......

Just going to address this from my point of view:

Mike Bajakian and Neal Brown are significantly different. Brown is from the Tony Franklin camp that will run the same plays regardless of who they play from the same personnel -- watch any Air Raid/TFS team and you will see little variation between them unless you're Holgorsen and the man himself, Tony Franklin. The amount of repetitions they get on those plays far exceeds the amount Tennessee can ever hope to get during the week.

Unless you're an NFL team, you cannot possibly hope to implement an entire package within the allotted time. This takes weeks to do. Unless of course you're Lane Kiffin who happens to be an incredible offensive game planner for a college coach. Paired with Saban and the talent they have, this isn't remotely surprising. Alabama can get away with it and has a much better line. What you're seeing is a direct result of Oklahoma murdering our line all game.
