Tennessee’s third-leading scorer, Robert Hubbs III (13.8 ppg), returned from a two game injury absence Saturday vs. Gonzaga and played 19 minutes.

Senior point guard Kevin Punter Jr. ranks 10th in the country in scoring, with 23.0 ppg.

Through Dec. 20, ESPN’s BPI listed UT’s strength of schedule as the third-toughest in the nation.

Preserve the Vols’ unbeaten home record this season, improving them to 6-0 at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Give the Vols 18 wins in their last 19 December home games, dating to 2011.

Extend Tennessee’s home winning streak against non- conference opponents to 16 games. That streak dates to December 2013.

Thanks, Yank. We gon' kick some ETSU butt. It's funny, the on time I saw us play them like 8 years ago, they gave us a run for our money. We won, but it wasn't comfortable. They were good and well-coached at that time.

Coached this go around by former Vol Assistant Steve Forbes. Also Jason shay is on staff as well.

I really hope that Mostella keeps moving forward. He looked as confident in the second half at Gonzaga as he's maybe ever been in orange.

I think if he would just scratch the 3pt shot and become a slasher only he can really help.

3pt % is just too painfully low to keep firing.

Really looking forward to next year's game in JC. Will be interesting to see how much orange will be in freedom hall that night.

He can hit them. He needs to be more selective though. Too quick jacking them up now and then. Being a threat out there helps those lanes to the hoop open up for him.

He has over 100 attempts in his 2 years. He's right at 25%. Not sure it's happening this season. Maybe next if he works and really develops

Wasn't Shay on the Pearl staff? Seems to me that they found out in November that they were going to lose their jobs at the end of the season and his wife went back into real estate so they would have some income. I could be wrong on which coach that was, though...

Not sure on the other details

Mos needs to look at the improvement in KPs shot and Armani's and let the staff work with him too. Im confident they can get him hitting at a higher clip. But it will take comittment from him in time in gym.

Agreed but it will have to be done in the off season IMO

Shay was a neighbor of the infamous Vol sports radio caller and Fulmer hater JC ("Hotty Toddy"/"Big White"/called Basilio "Stallion").

Mostella might need to learn how to relax. He looks really stressed out when he's in the game. Always looks like he's upset. Maybe he'd flourish if he was having fun on the court.

Hard to do that under the pressure of fighting for playing time.

Tyndall and Barnes both have yanked him out of so many games it's hard to blame him for not playing relaxed
