LOL...if UT drops this game the excuses will come. Jones already has laid the ground work for it in a pre game interview..."We have an inordinate number of young players...first time they've seen this type of offense" Every week that he has control over this program is another week it is treading water. He has to do something with this staff, the team is not progressing in any area
Most folks thought this would be a close game. So here we are. It will be their Big O line wearing our defense down versus our speed wearing their defense down. Time of Possession will be critical.
I think we still win this game. We may need to have our guys just return kicks for scores to Butch can't @#$# it up, but I think the team overcomes his dumb *** and gets it done. There at home and this is a must win.
Two things:
1. Our O can do anything in the running game and hey want to do. It's clear that Butch is responding to our criticism about not throwing it enough but still won't go deep.
2. Our D needs a lot of coaching on tackling. There is no reason this game isn't a shutout right not. We have been in position to make sure tackles that would snuff out these drives. We just freeze and they juke us.
Watching how we look in this game is pathetic! It looks like we're getting worse, game by game! Another wasted position right before the half. It really does look like a Dooley coached team!
Afraid of getting hit by the ball? UT just doesn't make plays like that. Bama comes thru and blocks a kick and scores. UT can't get out of its own damned way. This is a .500 team at best.
This tie started when we decided to run three straight times with 3:22 to go to give Arkansas the ball back. This is becoming a consistent theme and one that reflects directly on the coaches. I am beginning to think the coaches are really lost. Debord is an anchor around the teams neck and Butch has no life line. Damn I m so frustrated. I just don't see that killer look in anyone's eye.
