Biggest difference between Maurer and JG is one plays scared and the other one is not scared. There are about 6 completions tonight that JG wouldn’t have attempted. No way JG goes in the game, coaching malpractice if he does. BM looks good. We.are not good enough to survive making the dumb pf penalties and such....knock that out and we might be leading this game. Need a defensive hold to start or it may get out of hand.
If he does that he should be fired tonight. It's bad enough that he told us for weeks that JG was playing because he was the best option. Now we know how far from the truth that was. We would be either 3-1 or 4-0 right now if Maurer had started from day one.I will concur that if JP puts JG back in there Volnation will melt the server.
I know we had a back and forth about this during the week on the prediction for the game. There is a lot of positives. BM has played well. I think Chaney has called largely a good game to date. We are closer to UGA athletically than most think we are. The downside is we still are inept to start and end halves while we hold our own for a majority of the half.
We have looked alot better. What concerns me is if we can do it consistently....last yearwe played great against auburn and couldnt keep it up. We keep this up and we are.okI think we are closer than a lot of people thought. Just look at your thread with score predictions. If we have any chance in second half, we have to force 2 turnovers.
I'll be happy as a pig in sheet if we just keep'um on their toes 30 more minutes. I'll take that into the MSU game and have a couple of good weeks of Tennessee Football.Absolutely not, but we're in a tough spot, especially with them getting the ball to start the second half. A turnover deep in their own territory would be nice.![]()
I thought the same thing. It was almost as though someone in the league office made a phone call to the stadium. We got a lead, and suddenly questionable calls started happening against us, and flags stopped getting thrown on UGA.Is it just me, but do the SEC refs always get involved (in a bad way) when TN has a little momentum?
I've noticed the announcers will sometimes point out obvious, missed calls or questionable calls against the VOLS. Anyone else think we're getting screwed?
