The Official Tennessee vs. #17/20 West Virginia Game Thread, 3:30 PM ET, CBS

Going to the 4th in the challenging game for the Vols that have played valiantly.

Make it a fantastic 4th Vols because they can win.
Play valiant and great.

Guys we just don't have players yet when our ends can't catch Greer scrambling for 7 seconds that's bad....we need players like bama, uga,au,and maybe uf......we just don't have personnel to compete with top 25 teams....that just a fact. Has no bearing on our coaches

All things aside...I accept the fact that we aren’t amazing this year, I’m just happy to see a team not quit. We really have no idea how good WVU could end up being either.

Grier is quite good and in our winnable games this year we won't face a QB like him. I would have hoped for a better showing from the defense but the offense actually looks serviceable.

Wasn’t expecting the defense to be the lesser to our offense
Should have. It was one of the very worst in the country last year. We don’t have any DTs or DEs that can play at a high level. There are skilled pieces on the offensive side....JG, Jordan, Chandler, the WRs, DWA....not so much on defense.

Well, there are some positives to take away. First, Jordan can run the ball.....if we throw first. Second, Buchanan should be on the bench. Play all freshmen this year and let them learn. There will be plenty of film study from this game to watch for the next month. Hint....Look back, lol

Buchanan is benched or I give
up all hope. He is horrific.

That's a tough one for many. Patience is not a strong suit for many fans. For me, first game and only one game. I believe this staff and team will pull it together. Pruitt's playing a lot of youngsters.
I expected the team, ESPECIALLY the defense, to not quit and to hit hard and show guts. Watch the DL quit on the next drive. Watch missed tackles.

That is the FIRST red flag for me. It isn't impatience, but guts can be instilled in an offseason by a great coach.
