This is gonna end up a blowout. Hopefully our offense can keep scoring so it’s not a 50-14 type score.

Very disappointed. O-line was not competitive. I thought they might be a bright spot. Vols looked improved in the 2nd qtr. Play calling was wide open. Moved the ball etc. That last possession at the end of the qtr.
was a killer. Three straight runs? D-line is slow. Best pass defense is a good pass rush (especially with very young corners and safeties). Gosh, it has been forever since I have seen the Vols have good pass rushers.
Play calling in the 2nd half is very very vanilla (looks like last year). Hopefully, JP looks at these high paid assistants and starts asking some questions. I really had my hopes up that we would be tougher on both sides of the ball
but I'm not seeing it. I thought we might be able to go 6 & 6 but unless there is some major improvements, this could be last year all over.

Grier is a really good QB with a really good set of receivers. Need our O to answer but it's going to be tough getting stops on theses guys.

I don't know which is worse a team that gets blown out by 50 or a team that keeps it close for a half and gets blown out by 40.

Like I said all week. If our secondary gets shredded by Greir then the game is over.

I’d say the first good takeaway is that we have our QB who can make plays if given an opportunity. Then Jordan.

After that, I agree, play ALL the freshmen and new players. I suspect we’ll see that by mid season. Most of the players leftover from Jones can’t play winning football here.

They're racking up injuries on the defensive side. Wouldn't mind if Sills or Grier go down.
