The Official Tennessee @ Vanderbilt Game Thread, 4:00 PM ET, SEC Network

Guarantee you the b-ball team will underwhelm and disappoint this year. Last night was step one.

Ehhh not so fast my friend...they lost to what will likely be a final four team and to be fair they played well. If you’re competing with college hoops royalty like Kansas I’d say you’re in a good place.

This loss hurts next years team and recruiting. I honestly thought TN would win today and get a boost in recruiting.
Definitely lost any shot they had at the best players that were on the fringe...guys like Crouch and Haselwood. Pruitt completely ished the bed these last 2 weeks. He ain’t the guy.

They’ll disappoint....hide and watch.

Yet another half-arssed performance by the Vols. More games than not this season, the Vols were not ready to play. This is on the players and the coaches. Just an abysmal performance where our vaunted DC turned head coach got out-coached when it mattered most (flame away). The OC is overpaid by about 1 mill per year. If Helton isn't getting his walking papers shortly after the conclusion of this game, then Pruitt's tenure here will be shorter than Jones'.

I'm not and never was sold on Pruitt (because of his lack of head coaching experience) however his honeymoon period should be OVER. There is simply no reason to get dominated by a garbage Vandy team - no excuses whatsoever! Vandy hasn't done anything this year and Tennessee should never lose to the likes of that MAC-ish program. I love my Volunteers however I'm so tired of hearing the fan base wax on about their head football coach and latch on to his a----ight catch phrase......

Next year won't be much better, if at all, with JG under center and possibly two true freshmen starting in the oline. I'm just glad the football season is over.

Some of your points are arguably good, all are well meant I suppose, but this year's Vandy team is not a garbage team, they are actually pretty good and could have had a much better record than they have excepting a few periods of unfortunate (for them) playing or bad luck. I agree these players likely lost their will to do what it takes to win after the Missouri loss, but, that's what they're used to and the coaching staff likely has absolutely no control over players who want to do what they are used to. I want the Vols to be back to prominence as bad as anyone but this is a rebuilding process that has been a long time in the making and all involved need our support in whatever way we can supply it imo. Don't give up. It will get better.

None taken.....I said 2 weeks ago that we'd have to beat Vandy to get to a bowl because we didn't match up well against Mizzou....

This team just really sucks on the OL and on the Defensive front 7.... We have a QB as a starter who couldn't start for ANY VOLS team I've seen since Jeff Francis was the starter. Well, maybe he is a little better than AJ Suggs....
Hate to see us lose like this to Vandy.

I hope Pruitt reflects hard on this past season. There’s players and coaches that don’t belong here and I hope he makes the necessary changes or he’ll be a consultant at Bama soon.

So you think Fulmer is going to do to Pruitt what was done to him? Fire him without enough time to fix the problem? You’re out of your mind

Sure enough....... Unless you stop and consider the HoH hasn't gone away. You think they won't use TN looking like this for 3 straight years to raise total and unholy ****?

You're smart enough to know it's too early for all that. U remember sabans first year at bama? C'mon man

L, 40-14 to West Virginia
L, 47-21 to Florida
L, 38-12 to Georgia
L, 58-21 to Bama
L, 50-17 to Missouri
L, 38-13 to Vanderbilt

Has there ever been a Tennessee team that took this many absolute beatings? It's almost worst than last year.
