First news from practice is starting to come out; Jason Jones will be moved to DE, Spoon was practicing at the Mike position today, and Kenny Britt was held out of practice.

Doesn't sound like Damian Williams is getting real close to starting.

Also, Tiny was stronger in HS than Haye is now. Mind blown.

Very happy about the Barrett Ruud signing. Called for it before the CBA was finalized.

Jovan Haye is undoubtedly juicing. Undoubtedly.

Liked the Hasselbeck tweet that Locker is a horrible singer. Sounds like those boys are going to fit in in Nashville.

So, we signed Barrett Ruud. I like the signing. However, now that Lofa Tatupu was released by the Seahawks, do we make a run at him, too? Only if he could play on the outside, it seems. Given the Seattle flair to our front office, I wouldn't put it past them. Honestly, I think they would've preferred Tatupu over Ruud in the first place.

Read that we're going to take a look at Jamal Anderson, too. Hope it's for minimal money, but he could be quality depth at the right price. Still no help at Safety and still no negotiations with CJ, so cap money might be drying up.

Overall, I like the free agency pick ups so far. Hasselbeck's presence is growing on me.

Titans sign former Patriot and Bronco tight end, Daniel Graham, to a three year/$8.5 million dollar contract. To me that looks like starter's money so I wonder if the staff doesn't feel Stevens should be the #1 TE going in? Also from what I've heard he is apparently a great run blocker, hopefully he'll be like Crumpler and help in the run game with occasional passes thrown his way. Now if we can sign a veteran WR, S, a few more OL/DL guys I'll be happy.

I've always enjoyed reading the post-practice quotes from Fisher and now Munchak on the Titans website. After the first three days of the Munch regime, I have to say that I really like the guy. He's honest, not afraid to say that things are new to him, and he's definitely different than Fisher. The common theme that emerged after Munch was named HC was that people believed he isn't any different than Fisher (a "safe" hire and a business as usual hire for the Titans). I think it's safe to say that he's very different. He addressed the 1,200 fans at practice over the PA yesterday, is definitely placing an emphasis on teaching, team, and being a pro, and has brought in a lot of veterans to mentor the youth. I'm very high on Munch and think he was a great pick. Of course, who the heck knows what kind of game manager he is going to be, but he's a very "attention to detail" kind of guy and I tend to believe that those guys are well-equipped to handle game-type situations.

Anyway, I'm optimistic. Maybe it's just because football is back, but count me in as someone on Team Thorchak.

Oh, one more thing: Hasselbeck was interviewed on the Wake Up Zone this morning and he was great. Very engaging, honest, and affable. He seems like he's going to be a great teammate, great mentor, and hopefully he'll find a second wind behind a better OL and good running game (CJ-dependant, of course). I'm still skeptical about his abilities, but the guy has some moxie. Regardless of what I initially thought about the signing and contract, he's a Titan and that's good enough for me (for now).

He also said all the QBs go everywhere together right now because they've only got one car between the 4 of them, which I found funny. Seems as if they're really building some camraderie there which seems to be a change from the norm. I like the feel of the new crew.

The #Titans will sign DE Jacob Ford to a one-year deal today, sources say

Wonder if Dave Ball is no longer an option. Jamal Anderson visiting tomorrow.

Yep, should get a great draft pick next year

Little early for this discussion, but if we do fall in that range in the draft (top 5 pick), I wonder what position we target? I wouldn't mind someone like Alshon Jeffry if we took a look at offense. I'd have to say, though, if we're that bad, it's because of our defense. I'm a big believer in DL depth, maybe the best LB or S in the draft. I like our offensive personnel (with CJ under contract and a not incarcerated Britt), but adding a stud WR could be a game changer on O.

Anywho, really early for that. Interested in seeing how this team develops this year. It's easy to forget we were 5-2 (with two close losses and some blowouts of NFC East teams). Who knows, with some better play on 3rd down on defense and better QB play, we could surprise some people. My expectations aren't very high, though. I just don't want to sit through a bunch of games like the first Houston game last year. That was misery.

I came here to post just that. Apperantly Johnson is trying to get Edwards. I'm glad Chris is able to do something productive during his holdout.
