The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

I've always been able to watch Titans games here in Knoxville but for some reason FOX is saying I will be getting the Vikings game instead this week. What??!

I know that's probably a good thing and Titans suck yada yada yada but IDC I watch my team no matter what. Like I do the VOLS.

Why am I going to be shown the Vikings this week instead of Titans? This never happens

Is it a DirecTV thing? We recently switched to them from YTTV a couple of weeks ago to avoid the Disney blackout drama. And now this...

It’s FOX’s call. Happens in W TN routinely when their games are on FOX, including today.

FOX's call. Once a team gets to the "it's forgone conclusion, they're really bad" point, they tend to diminish the broadcast area to the local markets for said game and switch it to teams with better records or larger national markets with the goal of higher viewership retention during the timeslot. (It especially becomes more prominent if it's comparatively smaller market team in the league).

When you're a team that's bad enough to end up having the number 1 pick overall without some sort of catastrophic injury the prior year warranting it, don't start your rookie QB day 1. Let someone else take the beating most of the year and have them watch and learn from the staff on the sidelines.
Like sure, start starting them closer to the end of the season for a few games, but putting them through a gauntlet of a bad situation like this while they're still adjusting to how the NFL is a completely different beast from the college level they've spent the last few year playing isn't going to improve them. Better chance you break them in the shorter run.

You can tell a QB has no confidence when they start check everything down. Cam is starting to do that way more.
