The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

I’m usually not in favor of tanking but, I honestly kind of hope we just go 0-17 at this point. I don’t care if it’s “loser talk”, this team is loser talk, and we need talent. Get the #1 pick and trade it to the highest bidder, and get some damn talent.

And fire BC before he even makes it to the locker room.

The crazy thing about Tennessee is they seem horrible. But they are actually worse than that.

We are averaging 14 ppg.
Our opponents are scoring 30 ppg

But consider this: each of our first 3 opponents were in scoring position when the game ended. They chose not to run up the score.

Per Advanced metrics if the first 4 games are extrapolated over the entire season, we would be the 2nd worst team of all time. Ahead of only the 1976 Bucs.

Giants and Texans win today.
4 winless teams now.
Dolphins
Jets
Saints
Titans

Who goes the longest without a win? Gotta be Titanics, right?

When you're this horrible you NEED the No. 1 pick.

I think the dumbest argument that people use to justify holding onto Callahan is the whole “who would ever want to coach here?!” question.

The Saints, with perhaps the most uncertain QB room in the league, were able to land Kellen Moore. Plenty of coaches will be interested in coaching a QB as promising as Ward.

He dealt with more injuries than any other coach the two seasons prior to his firing; and was still in a position to make the playoffs. He wasn’t the second coming of Belichick, but history will show that firing him was the wrong decision. Cal sucks. Hes an offensive guru and can’t even will his team to score a touchdown.
Just because Callahan sucks it doesn't make firing the prior guy the wrong decision. Part of the issue with those injuries was on Vrabel the rest on front office.

We need to hire a coach with a proven record, someone familiar with building a roster and willing to challenge authority. And the GM has to be ok with that.

I'll be honest in his young career I've seen no glimpses, no drives, great throws that lead me to believe Cam is going to be the guy. Not saying he won't be, but by this time in a career you usually see some of the IT factor.

He's got ass to throw to, not one elite or top tier weapon on offense, and that's part of the problem. But he's got to show something and soon...

Did you say soon? The Grudenites will be out in force now.

I kind of agree. He’s honestly looked really mediocre these past two weeks. I gave him a pass last week, but he really didn’t do a good job at all today, and threw a few Milton-esque balls.

Admittedly….. seeing Jaxson Dart lead his team to a win today isn’t helping Cam. He’s not going to avoid comparison to him until he truly proves something, whether it’s right or wrong.

Saints ownership isn’t a trainwreck. Big difference

Remember he was also the one who said they shouldn’t trade AJ Brown. The front office of the Titans is a joke.
There's the problem....Changing coaches isn't going to change anything other than we might lose 26-7 instead of 26-0. It's like the Titanic changing Captains after it hit the iceberg.
