The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

I'm sure Callahan is trying to figure out how turn first and goal into a field goal attempt.
Vince Lombardi could come out of the grave and coach the Titans and they'd still kick field goals even if they were down 30. Not one Titans coach in the past 20 years figured out scoring 3 when the opponents scored 7 would win you ballgames.. I firmly believe they are building that billion dollar indoor stadium to attract FG kickers who want to kick in a windless environment.

I was thinking about this on the drive to work this morning. Callahan is a chart guy, takes the down and looks at the chart, let's it dictate what they do. And the majority of the time that is fine. But at times during a game you have to take shots, set plays up etc.

The other thing is the delay in getting the play to the QB, if the defense adjusts formation or coverage he's got no time to react and get into the right play. It also doesn't give him that few second to look over the defense to identify tendencies that can tell him what they are doing.

Maybe the play calling bring handed off is best.

But IMO that want a him decision, and that means he's not likely to be around past our bye week.

Only thing that makes sense is player wanted out.
Yeah, don’t see why else they’d take this trade. He was only in the second year of his contract.

I don’t think Brownlee is as great as a lot of Titans fans think, but he still was a good player who made some great plays. Was excited to see him grow as a player here, but I guess that’s over. Hate this.

He's better than a 6th and we had to give up a 7th and a player to get the deal done.

That tells me this was to keep the locker room together. He must have been very vocal. not a good sign, I'd fire my coach before I dealt players in this situation if the relationship wasn't already toxic.
