The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Well that obviously was no fault of Henry.

Never said it was. I’m saying with or without Henry, wasn’t a major deal. Honestly I don’t think our backs our bad. In terms of issues with our team, RB is down the list. So if you’re making a list of moves that put us here, drafting a RB wasn’t the issue.

Drafting a corner who couldn’t play due to injury was a major step that got us here. Drafting a head case at right tackle. And then drafting a gadget WR. Mixed with numerous fails in the second round. And poor cap moves like Dupree

Our backs aren't "bad" they just aren't Derrick Henry, who proved last night he is still a top 3 RB in the league.

I remember when the pundits said Terry Bradshaw threw too hard. We saw how that turned out. More recently it was Josh Allen throws too hard.

Yeah, OK.

Pro receivers are supposed to catch passes with zip, that is why they are supposedly pros. Give Cam some effort to build his confidence.

More than half the time those were some of the more high school level pass routes I have ever seen a pro team use. When they did go with more complex, the receivers would drop them or the O-line would be a sieve. If Nix and his receivers had been on the same page they would have won by 20+.

The Callahan tenure will not last long at this rate. There is not much to hang a hat on and no significant improvement on O. This will burn up the defense over the course of the season if it continues.

I don't see any realistic way he is still head coach next season. We aren't finishing with a winning record. We aren't going on a hit streak.
Unfortunately, they have no success in picking and retaining goid head coaches, either

Yeah Callahan is in way over his head if he doesn't know basic NFL rules.

It sucks we missed out on Ben Johnson. He seems like possibly the best offensive mind in the league currently.

Not sure where we turn next. I am not opposed to a defensive minded coach, but I don't want to return to a ground and pound on offense either. It would be nice to finally have a 4k yard passer.

I am not aware of any offensive innovators out there as a head coach prospect. There was a time when new schemes and concepts were always being tested. It seems like all the innovation is by the players now...especially at QB.

Even scarier nobody on the staff was like, you know that maybe a catch Coach.

Exactly. I questioned it live. How in the hell does no one on that coaching staff question it as it happened?

I feel like someone did mention it, and he overruled it. It is surprising that his dad didn't catch it either, given his Dad has been a HC twice now.

Redskins OC Kliff Kingsbury will be a NFL HC again soon enough.

Washington's offense tied for the franchise's second most total points in a season (485) and ranked among the top three in rushing and total yards in team history.

Kingsbury already has been a HC in NFL. How did that work out for him? Much better OC than a HC..
