The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

There just wasn't much to be optimistic about either, though.
Forced some turnovers. Simmons wrecked shop. I think we have a QB, just need some weapons and a couple more pieces on the OL. People here who thought we were gonna walk into Denver and beat them were delusional, and underestimated their roster. They are really good at generating pressure and have maybe the best corner in the league, plus one of the best coaches of this era.

I could understand this post more if the Broncos had jumped on the Titans early and had a comfortable lead throughout the game. The game was literally one score lead max. With competent coaching, we had a great chance of winning the game.
They knew our offense had no chance against their defense. That's why they went for it on 4th down twice there in the 4th qtr.

And I know it’s only been a game and I’m probably overreacting, but I am seriously already wondering who the interim coach is gonna be when Callahan gets fired. I look at the schedule and I just don’t see how he survives this thing.

They’re seriously building a new stadium for this s**t.

Lets be honest, they're building it for outdoor concerts, NFL draft, NHL winter classics, Super Bowls, and whatever else they can host.........Titans will just be a logo on the building unfortunately.

I'm not sure why some fans expect the team to be good a few months removed from having the #1 draft pick. Y'all know why we had the #1 pick right? Team is bad. Opening game, on the road, against probably a top 3 defense in the league. It was never gonna be pretty or easy.

For some, unrealistic expectations are a sport. In the offseason I stated interior d line was probably the only position group we have that’s above average. The rest of the team is below average.

It’ll be a long season.

Well yeah, Nashville never met a tourist it didn’t like, but it’s still a joke that this **** organization gets to benefit from it.

No, I’m not bitter at all.

Nobody expected then to be good. But the o line looked like what we saw last year, that alone is an indictment. The receivers were bad but they'll come around, not as worried about them. QB play was within the lower realm of expectations for a rookie.

But the play calls, at some critical moments, were just bad, like really bad.

While it wasn't all negative there is not much I can think of on the offensive side that we did competently, much less well.

It's just hard to watch this team and has been for a long time. It seems like the same mistakes and lethargic play are there every year. The Tannehill, Henry, and Brown combination was magic and lifted us out of the doldrums for a while. As was the fact that we briefly had really good coaches here. But we're stuck in the mud again with seemingly no way out.

When I think of Titans football, I think of QBs getting sacked, endless penalties, field goals, and ultra-costly late turnovers. That's the script for damn near every game.
