I have no idea what we will ultimately do, but after stewing on it the last few days, I'm starting to come around to the idea of keeping Will Levis as the backup QB. He is still cheap, and although he sucks, he is still probably quite a bit better than Brandon Allen. He is also more similar to Ward in play style than I care to admit, which could be an easier transition for the offense if Ward had to miss a game or two.

Factoring in that he's still easily young enough to have potentially improved (especially in a spot duty/backup role), but has sucked just bad enough to where an actual quarterback controversy is very unlikely, I think the upside of keeping him outweighs trading him unless it's something truly unexpected.

Yeah, that's the key.

I still feel it's unlikely we keep him through training camp, but I'm not as against the idea as I was previously. Ward honestly comes across pretty mature. I don't think Levis, being the meme clown he's ultimately become, could screw with the locker room pecking order even if he wanted to (which I don't think he would, he's never come across as a poor teammate). But I'll admit, that's a whole lot of assumption on my part.

The absolute best case scenario is both Levi's and Ward doing a great job. Titans would benefit if one was our franchise QB for 15 years and the other was traded to another team for a boatload of draft picks.

I would almost guarantee that Will Levis will not be on the roster in Week 1.

The Titans absolutely do not want a QB controversy. Despite their "open competition" talk, they would be extremely dumb to try and divide the locker room with a QB competition. You don't draft Ward # 1 overall if he isn't your QB1. Now maybe they try to increase his trade value in pre-season and hope the Steelers haven't signed a QB yet or some other team loses their starter for an extended period of time. But, imo, you can't go into the regular season with both guys on the roster if they are both healthy.

I think Levis is the ideal backup honestly. Yeah he sucks but so do 99% of backup QBs. The backup QB's job is to keep you competitive and not fully tank your season-see Cooper Rush and Jake Browning.

Levis is enough to beat a few teams if Ward gets hurt. Allen and Boyle are not. So I’d rather have Levis backing Ward up than either of them. But if we can get any value for him at all in a trade then yeah trade him, I mean even Malik Willis got us a 7th round pick

I have to say after two days I felt a little underwhelmed. After the Dike pick I was starting to think we were reaching and missing. But the next 3 picks were close to home runs IMO. The DE and Safety are projects for different reasons but could pay off.

Still feel like we should have been but staying at edge and picked up more of an impact player.

The trade backs on day 2 really disappointed me at the time. I believed we’d made a huge mistake and expected the draft to fall apart, and the Dike pick only made me more pessimistic. It was a roller coaster of a draft.

I wish we’d doubled up at DE and taken Martinez instead of Mullings. Or just taken Skattebo at 103 instead of Dike. I just can’t come around to him, and just can’t be convinced that he was a smart pick at 103.

Admittedly I didn't know much about Dike before the draft. I knew him mostly for catching the game tying TD in the Florida game with 30 seconds left.

The more film I watch on Dike, the more impressed I am with him. 4.3 speed will also play up. He could be lethal out of the slot. Reminds me a lot of Tyler Boyd, which I am sure does not go unnoticed by Callahan.

I thought Dike was a reach, forgot his name but I felt like the second receiver was the better, but really like the trio of receivers and tight end overall.

Possibly. But, Pickens is in a contract year. My guess is he keeps it together and plays like a beast so he can get paid. I have no idea if he will be a Cowboy after this season or not, but if he has a lick of sense he will do whatever he needs to do to get that contract.

I think the Titans are going to hope he does well in training camp and preseason so a team offers a 4th or 5th round pick for him. This is Ward's team now and maybe Levis can revive his career elsewhere like Malik did with the Packers last year.
