You won't hear a lot about this, but three big FA signings happened today. As we know ST stunk this past season. Robinson signed S Brynden Trawick and LB Darren Bates to go with re-signing LB Nate Palmer. Trawick and Bates were together at Oakland and both a few years in the league before that with the Ravens and Rams respectively. Trawick is now the highest paid ST guy in the NFL. There is now some serious talent on ST.
Came here to post ab this. No need to overpay for players opening day.. As we know often the big spenders in free agency don't really add up the following season.

But I do like the ST additions. Address some weak areas with hard hitting Cyprien in secondary.. And add two stalwarts on ST. Not flashy, but solid work

If we end up with Hightower, Cooks, and Ryan...we win free agency. Looks like we won't be targeting a safety at #5 with Cyprien signing, who I really like. Still think we trade down but Cleveland taking Brock totally screwed us. Not to mention if Texans get Romo FML. Love that we got Klug back...
Love keeping Klug. Guy has to be one of the better draft picks in the later rounds in the last several years.

I'm pretty pumped ab the draft. Idc if we trade out of 5 or not. I mean it would be less pay for rookie if we don't draft at 5. But we are sitting good either way

The #Titans signed former #Patriots CB Logan Ryan to a 3-year deal worth $30M, source said.

Obviously it would be ideal if we did, but If we don't land Hightower and/or Cooks our fans shouldn't be upset at all.

Still have the draft to add huuuge key pieces.

Have you guys noticed how well Robibson constructs contracts...for instance, last year he signed Rishard Matthews for 3 year/$15 mil. Kenny Stills, who has never matched Matthews' production, was just paid $32 mil/4 years by the dolphins. Not to mention we are paying Murray peanuts. Not sure how he does it but he just d-slapped the league again. Logan Ryan for 3 years/$30 mil is a bargain. Bouye, a one season wonder, got 5 years/$68 mil...

Robinson is the man in my book. Paid his dues, learned the business, has the knack for making things happen. Special things are happening. Logan Ryan is the perfect plug and play in the secondary since he is so versatile. You are right, that contract is a bargain. I bet LeBeau is salivating to get started with the talent he now has and will have after the draft.

Exactly. He addressed two glaring needs in the secondary as well as the needs in ST. That is good work, Bet he's not done. Still has a good amount of cap space. PFR was downplaying the possibility of Hightower yesterday while stating that Robinson has a standing offer with NO for Cooks, just waiting to see if they will go for it.

John Robinson has done an amazing job so far with the Titans. Signing Logan Ryan is an amazing pick up for our team. Is experience will be greatly appreciated for us. Our special teams will be greatly improved next year. I think even if we miss out on Brandon cooks And Hightower, it's still considered an amazing free agency.

Our secondary is looking a lot better after adding Ryan and Cyprien. Do you guys think we still go secondary if we stay at five? I don't think there is a receiver worth that pick. Do we go linebacker or defensive line? I hate Alabama, but wouldn't mind Foster or Allen.

Absolutely. If we stay at 5, we should jump all over Lattimore. If we move down a few spots we still need to draft best corner available.

Ryan isn't gonna match up against the other teams top wideout every game. He's good but ideally he's a great #2 corner.

I think the titans jump on lattimore... Kid is a solid CB great additon! I haven't heard it mentioned but OJ Howard for 18 would be a great deal in my opinion... I think he is a twopher. I know his blocking has been in question but mr walker isn't getting younger... I think it's a solid pick... Gives you another receiving threat and doesn't compromise size.

Everything I've read and observed indicates NFL teams do not go CB at #5 or earlier unless they are like Charles Woodson with was drafted #4. That said Lattimore is special and may be worthy of the #5 as Casserly has him at #3, CBS has him at #4, WalterFootball has him at #8, and Fox at #16. Don't know if he would still be available at #11, which is NO's pick if Robinson makes the trade for Cooks.

OJ Howard at #18 is a no brainer to me if they do not move back. They just re-signed Supernaw as a blocker when Fasano moved on to the Fins. That would give Howard a year to prepare for the role.

Not sure how I feel about Foster. That was a really bad time to get stupid at the Combine. Love what he could bring at ILB, but acting like he did screams character issue with an org that will not put up with it at all. Would rather have Barnett.

Still think Robinson trades back, possibly more than once, depending on how Cooks and Hightower work out.

Lattimore has actually moved down a few spots. Now they are hyping up the LSU kid, and I have to agree with him. More experience and looks to be a proven contributor. Not saying Lattimore isn't, just has limited experience.

Robinson not done. Signs Sylvester Williams, NT from Denver. Underperformed last season. Looks like a potential replacement for Woods that they feel they can develop and motivate.

I thought Woods played some good snaps last year. Guess if Williams is gonna fill that small role it's a good pickup.

Former first round draft pick and a load of a human being.

I think they feel that Williams' upside is higher. He's bigger and a couple years younger. Comparatively he had a little more production that Woods over the last few years.
