Saw Dennis Kelly at honky tonk central last night & had like a 20 minute conversation with him. Really cool dude.

Cliffs:
-Lewan & Conklin are really really good. Said Lewan is legit a top 3-4 tackle in the league & compared him to Jason Peters but said Lewan will be better
-Butch recruited him out of high school & likes him a lot
-Chip Kelly treated them like college kids in philly & tried to control everyone
-He doesn't understand why some people think Mularkey is a bad coach. Said he was one of the best coaches he's ever played for & the team really loves him
-Likes the Blackhawks (gtfo Dennis)

Yep that's all I got

Thanks for doing it, bud. All Lewan needs is for the bells in his head to go off and warn him with more urgency when he's about to do something really stupid that's going to hurt the team. Conklin is a tough stud at RT. Kelly is so versatile and very welcome addition.

I agree, I don't get the Mularkey hate as I have stated in the past. He's not flashy, but his is very solid and made some really experienced, good hires. A young team needs older, wiser coaches that can teach and guide. Been saying this is another version of Pittsburgh underway, with the NE drafting/trading/signing influences of Robinson.

Who has ever done well in recent decades in Buffalo or Jacksonville? Mularkey left Buffalo pretty much on his own after the Marv Levy return. Don't blame him. Jacksonville just sucks as an org.

Obligatory "cool story, bro" - but it really is kinda cool. Thanks for sharing. Didn't know what to think of the DGB / Kelly trade at first but looks like a good deal so far.

Robinson and CMM have prioritized culture / attitude over talent and it's working well. Very optimistic about the future!

I was hoping they would go after Chip Kelly because of Mariota, I was disappointed they didn't even talk to him(at least to my knowledge, somebody else may know differently) and felt Mularkey was the cheap way out. Looking back on it I'm happy. Hell I said a few posts back that I didn't want them to draft Mariota so I clearly dunno what in the hell I am talking about lol

Wellllll with the Texans losing and if the Colts lose tomorrow then your Tennessee Titans will officially control their own destiny in the division. ;)

If those are the last 4, it will be tough sledding. But hey! This is a big improvement!! I like that we are in a position this late in the season to make the show.

I agree man. I said at the beginning of the season that I would be happy if they would improve to just being in the conversation. I'm not going to complain.

I'd imagine that we will be the underdog in all of those games. I think we go 2-2, we need some real help though.

If we go 2-2 we need to definitely win the division games. And have Indy lose 3/4 IMO. If we could go 3-1 I like our chances. I'll take a loss to Denver or KC but I think we need to split those two games in particular.

Next week, pick em/slight dog, and no way we are an underdog to Jacksonville.

And personally, I think if the game was scheduled for next week (at TEN), I'm not so sure we'd be an underdog to Houston at this point either.

But still a lot of football left to be played. Those Denver and KC games are going to be tough. I don't see us winning out. As pleasantly surprised as I've been with this group, that's still just expecting too much from this year's team IMO. But splitting those 2 games isn't out of the question, especially if Denver is starting a rookie QB in Nashville next week.

Truthfully, I would not be shocked to see us beat either Denver or KC and then turn around and lose to Jacksonville. It seems like we ALWAYS find a way to split that series. But I don't want to think about that lol

I'd be perfectly fine if we overpay to get Eric Berry next year.

Please, please don't do that to me. He and PM are all that's great about Tennessee football to me. Maybe add Al Wilson into that as well. EB playing for LeBeau would be just too much for this heart to take.
