Lol please don't. We need 9 solid players. If anything trade back

I really am content with what he's done. But it's the Titans. Surely he knows he is supposed to mess it up big time. To do that he is going to have to do something really spectacular. lol.

He probably knows better than to overspend on Norman.

Right. We weren't one of the teams rushing straight out of the gate to offer those other huge contracts to the more expensive free agents, even for the team's needs, so I don't see that suddenly changing.

(I'm not sure I can see the fact that we're so completely in a rebuilding phase as being something helping garner his interest either.)

Good post. Totally agree. It appears the approach is to use seasoned vets as the transition until the draft picks gain experience and understand the system. Long term versus short term. The best way to rebuild IMO.

Face it you need a guy like norman to compete in todays nfl. If i was the titans gm id pay the man go ot in the mid first and wr next.

He was in a situation that made him look better than he is and he's 29. I read somewhere that the oldest corner in the NFL last year was 32, not sure whether that's true though

I think he made everyone else better just what my eye saw. Give him a 3 or 4 year deal and help the team compete soon.

Would absolutely love to have Norman. My god if you think otherwise I'm not sure ab your eyeballs as a Titans fan. One of the best CBs in the league instanly upgrades the D and the below avg secondary.

Only reason I don't want to is the $15mil/year price tag. But if we're to magically happen, I'd be in full support.

That defense is build around the speed of the linebackers. Add in a dominant DL like Kawann Short and it's a lot easier for Norman to make plays.

He's not a one-on-one shutdown guy like Revis was. You'd be spending big on a guy on the downslope of his career, which is almost always a terrible idea. Gettleman knows what he's doing; I'd pass on Norman and I think Robinson will too.

Considering how above and beyond they've gone on defense during free agency, I wouldn't be surprised to see Norman end up in Jacksonville.

They also still have the most salary cap room left ($53 mil) and it doesn't hurt that they're one of the 6 teams located in a state without a state income tax.

I think Robinson will pass also..

Norman is still a top cb in the league and would instantly make a positive impact on arguably the worst part of the team.
