At the same time you're rewarding Hardy for one incredible season he had, during a contract year I believe.

Where as Orakpo has hovdred around 10 sacks every year he's been healthy.

"Most seasons close to 10 sacks" is a very arbitrary measure. And are you just going to ignore the fact that Orakpo was healthy for at least 6 games last year and had 0.5 sacks? It doesn't count because it wasn't a full season?

Hardy had 11 sacks the year before he had 15. 11 sacks is Orakpo's career high, so if that doesn't count as a great season then he's in trouble.

Orakpo has had the same serious injury 2 out of 3 years. That makes him a huge risk no matter how you slice it. I doubt he stays healthy.

Will Phillip Rivers be the next Qb in music city? It's a possibility.

Rumors are swirling that he is not happy at San Diego.

Plus rumors of San Diego loving Mariota. I'd do a deal for the #2 pick in a heartbeat for Rivers. He could easily play another 4 or 5 years and hopefully by year 3 we will have some good talent again to make a run. Plus he already has experience in Whiz's system.

That's way too much for him. But I would like him.

I know people hate him, Rivers makes us instant contenders. He is a winner and tough as nails competitor

Tommy Smith Retires.

Steve Underwood to serve interim until new hire is made.

I've seen their activity in this FA period. I'm sure he retired a long time ago

Maybe Steve will make the deal for rivers. We need so much help he'd be worth the second pick. Better than cutler and this coming from someone who actually welcomes cutler

I'm not sure Moss would have ended up 2nd or 3rd or whatever Dyson was on the depth chart for the play/ special teams.

After the seasons (statistically) Moss had both that year and his rookie year, he would have more then likely drawn too much extra attention being out there on a last second kick return. If anything, he would be more likely to have ended up in Wychek's role in the play (meaning he would have been the one throwing the lateral) than Dyson's (who was replacing an injured Derrick Mason).

(Also, putting his hands behind his body wasn't what made them rule it a lateral; it was the path of the ball and how Wychek threw it. Whoever's receiving a straight throw like that, at that spot, doesn't really get an option of putting his hands in front of or behind his body when he gets the ball).

True say.

I just think Dyson going back for the ball the way he did, created the illusion of backwards. At best, it was probably lateral. From what I recall, Wycheck's hand appeared to release the ball in front of the line and it was caught behind the line. If not for the line being right there, we'd never know the call. I think it was backwards but I wouldn't bet my life on it. I give the credit to Dyson coming back for the ball to catch it. Rulings are always subjective and we were lucky to get that one. Bills would have been lucky to get the call too. We came up lucky is all I'll say. I'll never complain about that.

I do think Moss makes it a totally different game instead of Dyson though. He was one of the leading receivers all time and put up difference making box scores. Dyson on the other hand was meant to be more of a slot receiver that's open in a mismatch. Moss was a receiver who caught poorly thrown passes with one hand. Two very different people that can make a very big difference on a game given the gap in talent. If not for the Super Bowl, I would have already forgotten about Dyson. Just like I forgot about Walker, Holmes, Favorss, Godfrey and every other loser.

I loved Samarie Rolle and Derrick Mason back in the day, but now Mason can go F himself. Hate that dude. Who would have thought I'd come to love a former Gator so much though? Jevon Kearse will always be one of my fav. players. I'll forget about Bulluck before I forget about Kearse. Who am I kidding, I already forgot about that Syracuse dude with no money.

Why do you hate Derrick Mason?
