Based on those numbers, I don't see why Zimmer is so highly wanted. A few good years but nothing that stands out to me.

The site I pulled those from has a funny way of ranking stats. Low numbers are good, high numbers are bad.

The numbers are backwards.

For example:

32nd=Best defense in the league (Fewest yards or points AGAINST)
31st=2nd best
....
1st=Worst (Most yards or points against)

So the numbers are mostly very good, especially since 2009.

Yeah, I pulled them from Pro Football Reference. I'm not going to go back to do all them but is how many total turnovers his Cincy squads have forced;

2008 - 18th (24)
2009 - 19th (25)
2010 - 19th (26)
2011 - 22nd (22)
2012 - 8th (30)
2013 - 3rd (31)

I've been driving the Zimmer bus since about 2009. I wanted him here when Fish was fired but we got Munchak instead. I think where ever he goes he'll be a great head coach.

Plus one more thing, I think he coached his best overall unit this year without his two star players for most of the season.

Without a doubt. His players love him too. 20+ years in the league, so he is doing something right. He has paid his dues, and hopefully he gets his chance here.
