The Official Tennessee @ South Carolina Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, SEC Network

What I don't understand is how you go from winning 21 to 9 in the 2nd half and then somehow magically the refs and South Carolina come back to win by 3 just in time. We were most definitely NOT the least penalized SEC team tonight. And the refs got them wrong.

Hopefully after the film is reviewed and the loss is overturned, at least one of the zebras is fired so that it sends the message that the garbage won't be tolerated anymore.
Keep dreaming

The refs were awful, but JG’s head is in another place when he has time to think. Doesn’t have it between the ears at this time, may never.
He zones in on receivers and doesn't have a mental clock to get rid of it. He decides to scramble 90% of the time when it is too late. His reactions to scramble are slow. Doesn't have a sense of urgency. Which is only ok cause we are making 3rd downs. He played ok, but if it isn't there throw it away. I'm surprised we didn't see Chryst. Releases quick, He didn't get hit once I think in the Bama game. Also, not enough deep balls again. I need to see Jennings and Calloway deep. Just give em 50/50 and they will get it 80/100 if you are accurate. Good RB performance.

JG has JJ and callaway on the outside, just throw the ball up for grabs, who cares if they are covered, if you throw an INT, its a short punt who cares...still pissed at that last play.
He can't. He physically can't see more than a few yards down field. It's the hits he has taken this year and it explains tonights play calling. He probably needs to not play next week. Rest up for the rest of the SEC.

We have no LBs worth a darn....
We have no Safeties worth a darn..... Warrior can't even figure out how to line up in the 4th QTR of our 8th game.....can't tackle in the open field....
We really do not have a SEC QB in JG... Tim Irwin said it best in the article posted last week.

You can't stand back there like a statue--deer in headlights--flat-footed---not knowing where your open receiver is gonna be. He has demonstrated NO ABILITY in his pre-snap reads to determine where to throw the ball. If his primary guy is not open--he just stands back there with INDECISION flooding his mind....and that was never demonstrated more clearly than tonight on the last 2 plays of our last possession.

He holds the ball too long and just DOESN'T UNDERSTAND the concept of throwing your receiver open by delivering the ball early and allowing the receiver to run to the ball in open space. He is just too slow mentally to pull the trigger. His FB IQ is just deficient.

KC certainly doesn't have JG's arm, but he knows WHEN to throw the ball and WHERE to throw the ball. KC doesn't hesitate to pull the trigger--and it appears that JG just can't bring himself to pull that trigger sooner. But I guess we'll have to live with JG because KC only has this year left.

Don't blame our defensive performance on coaching--just watch the darn film-- and know that when your LBs cannot step up and stop a base dive play up the middle between the tackles you are not going to win many football games.

We needed to play perfectly on offense tonight to win the game--and we failed on our last 2 possessions.

Here's hoping we can get to 6-6 and a bowl game.

That is all.

No way Helton or Friend has a job at the end of the year. They both are horrible. Helton has no business being a OC at any school
Playing calling wasn’t the best too many short passes but that’s not the reason why we lost, we lost because of penalties and I hate to say it but the refs gave them 10 points

Defense is definetly an issue, however, you're not going to win many games scoring 24 points in today's college game.

Maybe not. But had the defense had some stops the offensive might have scored more. We can nickel a dime a loss like this all night. It sure sucks though.

I wonder what Pruitt says post game. “We all suck”

I'll be honest. I don't want to hear the whole "we need more players" stuff tonight. We don't have the players to compete with Bama or Georgia, but it wasn't lack of talent that cost us tonight.

Plus, how many times can players be told they suck before they just start believing it? He needs to be careful with that.
